Just heard that the Lanarkshire Fed have decided to go to Otterburn 25th August,Witton Castle 1st Sept (which will be the duplication race) and Ripon on the 8th Sept which will not form part of the Fed averages. With the weather for this weekend looking :) : reasonable lets hope their are no further set backs in completing the programme. Good luck to everone competing. :) :)

You forgot to add that the race from Ripon is subject to a transporter being made available as Anderson is , at the moment, only transporting the birds for the next two weeks

WHATS THE REASON FOR THAT MAY I ASK

With the ybn on the same day it may not be a concearn to the majority of members with the exception of those wishing 150mile race.I take it from your comments that a contract is in place between the Haulege Contractor and the Fed. If not surely alternative arrangements could be made to Hire a Unit and a driver but with averages already being won the birdage will be well down.

it is only verbal contract we have with anderson, and it only up to the date in your fed book, hence ripon race may not go ahead if cant get anybody willing to do job, but one thing for sure it will need be sorted out for next year, it all down to new rules. As drivers only allowed to drive certain amount of hours now,

IF WE MIGHT NOT GET THE RIPON RACE I THINK THE DELEGATES SHOULD HAVE VOTED TO SEND THE BIRDS TO WITTON CASTLE THIS WEEK AND AYCLIFFE NEXT WEEK SO THAT THE Y/B'S GOT 2 100 MLS RACES UNDER THEIR BELTS AT LEAST!

Hi

The delagates didn't get a vote According to your rule book and the president told us it was Otterburn Plenty of poeple want Witton Castle

Only vote taken was the added race IF it takes place Ripon or Kelso

Ripon won 19 to 3

Cheers

If we had voted for what yous nut cases in low waters had put forward we would have been ok for next year as one transporter would have done. As there would have been no yearlings next year as all the y/b would have been lost. ha ha

GREAT VISION THE FEDERATION SECRETARY HAD AS HE  PURCHASED ROCKETS TO SCARE THE FALCONS AWAY AT OTTERBURN BEFORE WE HAD ACTUALLY HAD OUR DELEGATE MEETING TO SEE WERE WE WOULD BE RACING FROM THIS WEEK :o :o :o

HOW MANY YEARLINGS YOU GOT LEFT THIS YEAR DAVY??? I'VE GOT 3 AND THATS BECAUSE THEY WURNAE TESTED LAST YEAR AND WE'LL PROBABLY LOSE THEM JUST THE SAME NEXT YEAR IF WE DONT GET A RIPON RACE!!!

If he had allowed a vote then what had been passed at a.g.m. would have been went against, and as we had already did that once this year already he was not willing to go down that road again, and he did a very good speech on the rules and the a.g.m. last night i thought, pointing out how we do things for the best at the time but wen we actually have to use these rules they fall down,

having ripon race is one thing but u wanted 119m this week 127m next week then 160 mile next week wen we have only had the birds out to 65 mile the now. remember they are all falling to bits as well.

For info: Scottish North West Fed YB race prog jumps from Otterburn [83m] last week to Ripon [157m] this week. Finishes Wakefield [185m] next week.

Think your transporter carrying rockets is a brilliant idea. Hope others follow. Next step eagle owl calls CD?l

DONT THINK SENDING THEM TO 82 MLS THIS WEEKEND WILL DO THEM ANY GOOD I THINK THEY ARE READY TO GO OVER 100 MLS NOW AND IF THEY ARE NOT READY AFTER 3 65MLS RACES THEY NEVER WILL BE!!
