After a few problems with other jobs, weather, council planning and so called friendly neighbours, I have managed to get back to building Chickadees loft

Three sections

7 x 6 fancy whites

7 x 4 young birds

7 x 6 white racers

7 x 16 aviary

Once the council have aproved it I will lift it up higher ;D

Hey DOVEScot looks like quite a big loft but i still dont think it will be big enough to house all our birds. Each bit is quite small. ;D

There's always the cabin boy :)

Thanks for the offer

I live in Birmingham near the airport.

Just ordered the timber.

Laid 20 slabs which will equal 8ft long x 4 wide and 8 ft high loft with 1ft long with 4ft wide and 6 ft high for hospital/sick bay. the remaining base for storage.

the avairy is 9 ft by 9 ft by 8 ft high.

all birds will have widow fronted boxes (2ft long by 14" wide).

Will be keeping different types of pure breeds.

Got few tasks to do first before I can start,

I have to build a canopy to the house.

then lift the shed of the ground.

lift the first loft up further 6 ins ( do not know how I am going to do that as one side is on the slabs can not get any leverage)

then after all that

the new loft
