Returned home from airport run this morning to find a dead pigeon on the lawn at the front of the house, one of my neighbours said it looked like it had a broken wing earlier.

On inspection found it had been SHOT by a pellet gun, I hope this is not the next step by the two faced people that pretend to be our friendly neighbours

Waiting on police to arrive, because if it is them then they have certainly gone too far this time

hiya m8,as some know ive had this problem for 3 yrs, police involved and all, nothing done!!...they are a waste of time ...trust me!

ive had around 10-12 birds brought to me this year alone, excluding strays that have been brought to me by neighbours in and around the street,this only happens to me when the yb/s are 1st going out and landing around the streets...then when older it dont happen...hope u sort it ...cos its a pain to anyone with this problem....paul.

Aye this time it has to be official, it may not be connected but it is a very strong coincidence that I seem to have beat their last attempt and now this :-/ :-/ :-/

With all the gun propaganda just now I am sure the police will take it seriously and if not will aproach local councilour on Monday, even if I  can find out who it is then name and shame them, then let society deal with them

Police have just been and taken statement and are now doing door to door in the street, they seem to be taking it serious, I have informed them as well about past incidents with nuisance reports to the authorities, never thought someone would stoop so low :(

I know this differs from the original point - a couple of years ago I had my large lounge window smashed saw the culprit and phoned the police - relayed the information and to cut short they told me I required a witness

Sorry to here about this . i hope everything gets sorted for you. i had a hen shot in the eye this year and had to kill her. it would be nice if people would leave us alone to enjoy our sport but there is always some idiots out there trying to stop us.

  bad when it comes to this,, best do it the proper way dovescot [allthough annoying it will be]  but reported to council , reported to police , reported to news paper ,, and you can do your own enquiring ?????and find out????   police , really not interested too  much   [ unless its one of there own]      but i sincerely hope ,,you,, find out who did this   :(    and tell them not to do it again ;) hope you catch the ,,,,,,,,,,

Yes well the police do seem interested, this may be down to the officer that called as well because he was really interested in the pigeons

Also hope the fact that anti airgun propaganda at a hieght just now will help. if not then there is more than one way to skin a cat,

"Name and shame where it hursts most" by contacting the rest of my neighbours to let them know what type of people live beside us, On the site and let the pigeon community know or in the press if need be :-/

total joke the guy next door to me used to shoot at my birds untill one day i cought him kept calm and calle the police they told him anyone in the street reports a gun at his address and they will be down on him like a ton of bricks if they dont find 1 he will still be a sorry chap as the street is full of kids aswell and maybe 1 time he will hit one of them instead of a pigeon.
