Dunoon International Show 1/2 December 2007

I have received lots of phone calls asking if the DIS is still going ahead given the current ban.

 

Our view is that we are hopeful that the situation will change over the next few days to allow us to continue with the show. Our experience during the last outbreak lends us to believe that Defra/SEERAD will risk assess the situation on an almost daily basis and if no further incidents occur, they will remove the ban and allow gatherings etc. to take place under licence.

 

We will monitor the official websites and keep our decision under review, and we will advise fanciers again on Saturday 24th November of the situation regarding the show.

 

In the meantime we would ask all those fanciers who intend to enter birds into the show to send their entries as normal.

Good news at last. The Scottish Government has downgraded the ban and is allowing shows under a General Licence from one minute past midnight tonight. If you haven't got your entries into any of the shows get them in now!
