jimmy white Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 so there was an application,,no proposer , no seconder,, for a young lad 11 years old...shocking [someone has told lies, and i can assure you it wasnt me or mitch
darkknight Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 can i just ask what is proposer , and seconder, and why dose he need them to join
Ian McKay Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I know the rules regarding from grants are pretty strict, One club i know of got quotes for bricon ETS for all members and then when the lady ( a non club offical) got the grant they changed it from bricon to Unikon for the better price i am pretty sure if this one goes the way i have been told the club faces losing the grant IF the lottery grant commision get wind of it. I feel that a club rejecting such a young fancier is beyond disgraceful if any of the members barring the proposer come on here i hope you are proud of yourselves Hi Vallance Lofts If the grant was for ETS it would make no difference which system they bought as long as the grant was used for the purpose applied for or they communicated with the grant people about changing the type of clock Cheers Ian
robbie Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I think there is clubs out there who are getting this lottery grant and either dont know the restrictions set down by the lottery fund or they are just blatently choosing to ignore them!!! ,they could find themselves if reported to the lottery people having to repay the grant!!!!. If this young lad meets all the requirements set down by the club concerned and has no major outstanding issues, the club under lottery rules should be accepting him
Fair Play Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Pigeon racing needs all the young blood it can get and if true the fact the meeting was alleged to have been held in a pub automatically bars anyone under the age of 18 after a certain time and especially if alcohol is being served so maybe the meeting could be deemed unconstitutional especially where lottery funding is concerned. A local club (not pigeon club) bars female s from being full members so are automatically barred from lottery funding or council grants. Surely a kid of 11 doesn't have a criminal record and if he did would it not be nice for the members to try and help him just like the members do on this site.
Guest Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 as i said there is allways the other side of the coin iam sure this will be sorted out and hopefully every one will be happy

superstar Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 well all i can say is they must be scared if the boys family are gd flyers its most probs in his blood Sounds a bit like that, think you might have hit the nail on the head. Totaly despicable for whatever reason if the lad doesnt get in. I'm glad im not in that club for I'd be ashamed!
rembrant2coo Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 the secy spoke with mitch ,,told him what went on at the meeting , would certainly wish the lad well , and hope all turns out well , for the clubs sake and the boys sake i agree entirely the young lad needs as much help as possible but bringing it on this forum was wrong
me Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 report them to the lottery grant Could be a dangerous thing to suggest, some federations (midland, lanarkshire for instance) have rules which are approved by SHU but would appear to be at odds with Lottery Grant rules for a hand out. If this becomes well known lots of clubs might well be having fund raising squeaker sales to help repay the grants they have received.
jimmy white Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 are you a member of this club by any chance mr white if your not what the hell are you getting involved for cause i heard you were not amember ????????? the reason hes not getting in is because he knows me ,,,,is that a valid reason ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,do you think i want that on my head. any one take anything out of me but not a young boy > > > ive been involved in helping scores of youngsters on this site ,, this one is no exception

Tony C Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 I don’t know if the SHU rules similar to the RPRA. The RPRA I'm led to believe say all applications to join has to sit on the table for 14 days before voted on. If this application was in the hands of the secretary 14 days prior to this meeting these 'concerns' should have been looked into then. The club in question constitution they submitted to the lottery grant should make interesting reading. If by not allowing this lad in I'm positive they would be breaching both their own constriction and the terms of the grant.
me Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 you never answered my question jim are you a member or not Take your point but the lottery people are not really interested in that, is your club open to all assuming they are willing to abide by the rules is the main stipulation. Not is it open to people who are not members of this club or that federation or who is not related to or a pal of this one or that one. That is regarded as discrimination and as such a grant will not be awarded. If I remember correctly the SHU themselves received a grant, wonder if they will end up having to pay it back?
jimmy white Posted January 13, 2008 Author Report Posted January 13, 2008 you never answered my question jim are you a member or not no i am not a member
Fair Play Posted January 13, 2008 Report Posted January 13, 2008 Me - nobody is above the law and ignorance of it is no excuse - try telling the judge you didn't know
