Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 the weather here is rough as rats , real horrible, weve been at great yarmouth since thursday afternoon no lib today
Guest shadow Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I Pity any birds liberated today that have to face long distances to get home many will become waterlogged and go down to dry out good luck to all and hope you get them home
Guest Vic Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 SMT Combine Poitiers - 8.30am light East wind. How do you see this lib? All or nothing is my view!
Pompey Mick Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 It was clearing on the coast by 12.00, brighter, sunny breaks , its been rain free since 7.00am, the CSCFC went from Tarbes at 5.30. My Fed went at 12.50 from Lessay. Still overcast now at 2.30 but bright, sun not visble but trying to break through at times. SW breezy. Central France is shown to be good weatherwise, not so good for us on the NW corner. If they've have a good start there is nothing to stop them in Southern England. The Pau international birds are getting across this morning from 9.30am onwards. I think longer flying organisations must have held because of weather conditions in England rather than France and the Channel.
Guest Vic Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 If the above posting is right, Why any holdovers?
Fair Play Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Forecast was very heavy rain across the Midlands, tomorrow looks no better with rain moving North with winds of up to 65 mph (As per the BBC)
Tony C Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 LNRC held over at Stonehaven, will we get out of there tomorrow?
thunderboult Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 They should have missed the bad weather by that time weathers not been great dull and overcast at times and few showers but nothing bad enough where i was to have stopped them shouldnt made any difference to them we got bird from Pau well done on your bird from pau rose.
robinthfc Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Thames Valley held over at Newark. Prediction for tomorrow, light showers and some sunshine, so looks better then today. Better weather at Leicester though, so who knows?? :-/

Bluedoo Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Forecast not good for Stonehaven tomorrow. Rain forecast to the borders. Monday wasn't looking a whole lot better. At least your birds are being well looked after. Just been round past your transporter.
Tony C Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Thanks JADE & Bluedoo, wouldn't surprise me if they pulled out back to Dunbar
Guest Vic Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 UNC liberated at Bourges at 1pm today! Wind light and variable! A rather strange liberation , Indeed!
Mr Yorkie Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 Had a good race out of Dunbar this morning for the birds of the Yorks North Road Fed. Pigeons were up at 5.45am; a good decision by the race controller viewing the forecast for the day. Clocked in around 8.30am when the weather was still fine.
