Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 I believe the pigeons made around the £4000 for the 39 birds which is very good money but not as good as the SNFC sales have gone in the past.

Delboy Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 Why were the main S.N.F.C prize winners not asked for a yb for this sale. Surely Gordon Willox , Jim Donaldson, Dennis Anderson, J&W.Strang, R P Combe, etc, etc should have been some of the first names on the list.??? I dont know, maybe they were all asked for a yb and couldnt oblige for one reason or another????. :-/ The SNFC have to spend some of the money in the bank and purchase / or hire the best transporter available. Second best is definately not good enough. They should be using a Geraldy tranporter.

Members not happy with who the President nominated back onto the committee and postions he was then given and subsequently now has been caught cheating a federation level.?? 2. Many of the same fanciers have been asked for over 20 years and maybe feel they get little in return i.e poor transportation etc etc.?? 3. AGM decisions were made to address any loss of revenue with subs and birdage both been raised so why the need for 2 sales when there have been no goals set for extra income and added to that the club has a very good bank balance.?? cheers Gareth
Chris Little Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Many moons ago it was one of the highlights of the season being asked to donate a latebred for this sale as it meant you must have got a good one in the nationals ie in the top 3 of your section. A new transporter for the SNFC is an absolute must.....

A new transporter for the SNFC is an absolute must..... Totally agree Chris, I was asked this year for a yb and had to decline because of the way the officials treated myself and others while on the committee last year. The SNFC is the most prestigious club in Scotland and these officials have made it become very amateurish, mainly because they dont know nothing about the tradition of the SNFC. Roll on the A.G.M so we can replace these cranks and hopefully lift the profile of the SNFC once again.
budgie Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 We also declined but it was for a better cause to that wee Lassie Phoebe and we felt that we had to give from our best pair to raise some much needed funds.I agree with Dellboy changes will have to be made as the decisions made with the current officals are to the detrement and the well being of the Finest Club in The Land and our Forefathers would turn in their Graves.
Guest redwhiteblue Posted September 18, 2008 Report Posted September 18, 2008 Why hasn't the best fancier in Britian not got a pigeon in the sale? especially when he is on the committee.
