I am sure he will help with advice. yes, I'm sure he would be a great help[keith mott],with both, the disease and the pigeons , allthough he must miss his pigeons badly, his health, must come first , so lets hope and pray that billy and anyone else in a situation like that , can manage to fight this and regain their health.

Billy is a fighter and gaining strength all the time, he is greatful for all the support and well wishes from the members on the site, especially for the ones that have taken care of his birds, it really helps I print out some messages and take them in for him to read

DOVEScot Posted May 28, 2008 Author Report Posted May 28, 2008 Good news tonight, Billy is up to 6st 6lb, the heaviest he has been this year, they are still trying to get his insulin stable as his blood sugar is going between 2.4 and over 20 at times. :-/ We went to see Billy this afternoon and great news is he is up to 6st 10lb which is a 4lb increase in a week, good thing is he is off the steroids so this is all natural muscle and body fat :)

I will do, he can read all the posts after tomorrow as he is coming to stay with us till he gets a new house as there is no way he can cope with the stairs in his present house, he is number two on the rehousing list

I hope the hutch style system is something he can do and maybe then a few pairs can keep him active as surely being active and keeping an active mind is important in his recovery.
