Tony C Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Its a solution to a problem, simple as that.
Guest bigda Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 your right tony it only happens when you have a good bird, :oh the clock jambs, the clock stops you drop the rubber cant find it, > the doo turns it back on you on race day, > the ice cream van turns up when you, want the doo in, :-/ and he cant make enough noise, the kids next door decide a game of ;D tennis, there dog starts barking you want to go to the toilet, but cant, oh there is some one on the phone looking for you i give in i am going to get ets, cant take any more ;D ;D
greenlands Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 I hope i'm not digging a hole for myself BUT why haven't the RPRA got this lot sorted before now. They'll be sticking their chests out at Blackpool look what i've done!! but a lot of fanciers take their clock to the show for repairs etc. What do you do now.More RPRA wait till everyone else has done it then we will.Lindsay C.

REDCHEQHEN Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 It has been passed by the nehu and the rpra promised they will pass it in februari. This particular conversion HAS NOT BEEN PASSED BY THE NEHU so at the moment - no organisation has actually passed this type of conversion - so please be aware should you intend to purchase

REDCHEQHEN Posted January 20, 2009 Report Posted January 20, 2009 Hmmm interesting. Do you know if this has even been put to the NEHU clock committee REDCHEQHEN sent you a PM
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 20, 2009 Author Report Posted January 20, 2009 After reading the last message I rang my friend in england who handed over the thimble to the NEHU and asked him about it. Unfortunatly it is correct. It has not been officially passed. They told him they didn't see any problems, but the official meeting will be at the end of januari so I heard. If there is someone out there who can tell me more about this, please send me a PM. I do not want to sell a product which you are not allowed to use. Regards, Gerwin
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 28, 2009 Author Report Posted January 28, 2009 I just received an email from Tom Dawson, President of the NEHU, with the following text: I can confirm the NEHU Clock Committee has approved the use of the T3 Clock insert for use in 2009.
jimmy white Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 You never had a thimble go in a T3 lop sided and jam or shoot out when you strike the clock, lucky if you haven't. ever tried to fit two wrongs sides of a thimble together [old fashioned ones] ;D ;D ;D its strange ;D you keep trying ;D instead of picking the right inside and outside proper closures ,,,,one time i lost a race by half an hour ;D ;D doing this [got a 4 ft trout as well ;D ;D ],,,,, but this does happen at times with the t3,,,,,,,,,, so all in all this thing looks pretty good ,, well to some ;D
BIGK Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 CAN THEY BE REMOVED ONCE INSTALLED IN THE CHAMBER IF THEY GET DAMAGED?
Oldpigeonclocks Posted January 29, 2009 Author Report Posted January 29, 2009 CAN THEY BE REMOVED ONCE INSTALLED IN THE CHAMBER IF THEY GET DAMAGED? If they are damaged they can be removed (with some violence) and replaced by a new one.
steve d Posted January 29, 2009 Report Posted January 29, 2009 I agree a good idea, but do you think Linnel will be honouring warranties when you are adapting the clocks, just a thought. ;)
Oldpigeonclocks Posted February 7, 2009 Author Report Posted February 7, 2009 I agree a good idea, but do you think Linnel will be honouring warranties when you are adapting the clocks, just a thought. ;) If you are afraid of the warranty loss, just take the thimbles out before you send the clock to them. Or send your clock to me. I am cheaper anyway.
