picauville 264 miles won 3 times in last 4 years and only time we didnt win was a smash and gave us a great fed results to 5th fed this year 3000birds, three years ago we sent 14 widdowood cocks and had them all in 10 mins as you say always seems to be a good/ lucky racepoint for us,,

North West Fed fly Maidstone this year after a 2 or 3 year break. It's very popular.

I'm really looking forward to the racing, I intend to do the full SNFC program for the 1st time ever, never been with them accross the water.

mine is maidstone as well, with the welsh southeast national since 2005 i've had 2x2nd,3rd,4th+2x6th farwest section. 2x1st,2x2nd+3rd club.  although no card at all from there in 2007.

this is thread about good/lucky race  thats all, not a look at me im winning , i've been thinking back when i member of my old club 20 odd years ago had a grizzle hen that only won from dorchester 3 years running i think it won the west coast combine twice and was second as well ,all the old members said it had a short cut.his name was tom crawford .in fact the time he was second i ran over to his house to tell him the bird was on his landing board , he was in the house and never seen it

When I originally raced in Forres when I was a boy and still at school ( not that long ago ) the only race point I never won from was Doncaster 299 miles. I then moved to Aberdeen and the first time I flew it I was 2nd club 18th fed which I was delighted with as it was my bogey racepoint. I then went on to win from doncaster ( which was now 260 miles ) 4 years on the trot with the same bird. I quickly started to like the racepoint strangely enough.

One that has to be an automatic favourite for me would have to be the SNFC Niort race 673 miles, it was only flown from 5 times and we fortunate never to have missed out on any result.

3rd west section 23rd open

1st west section   4th open

3rd west section 17th open

7th west section 36th open

1st west section 24th open

thanx guy's just a past time here till the hard work start's ,some fantastic stories and performances ,but it was not just about who won what even if you have raced 20 times from a race and been second every time to me thats a lucky/unlucky race depends on how you look at it, but thanx again guy's good luck in your races again this and future years

cheers

Good flying m8,surely, must be  the best record in SNFC at this distance. Never had them that far but would like to give it a go. Have been 2nd & 5th west section, 11th & 30th open Tours 628 mls in only 3 attempts at over 600 mls.
