greenlands Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Thought i would get up to some sort of damage this mo. after the storm last night, still blowing like hell at the mo. with the odd rain/snow shower making things worse.Lindsay.
alex wight Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 I lost the roof of my young bird loft last night. The wind was as strong as i,ve ever witnessed in my life. The roof, 12ft x 8ft took off and hit the back of my house and landed on my extension, thankfully causing very little damage. The roof itself was broken in parts but not the end of the world. What realy annoyed me was that i had just shifted my first 10 young birds accompanied with their mothers, and guess what, yep they were in the now roofless loft. I was able to get help from my secretary Wullie stark and his laddie joe, who helped me move all the effected birds. This morning i was up at 6.30am to fix the damage, and sort all the birds out once again. I think i only have one type of luck, BAD. Now we are covered in snow, great :-/
Guest Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 How do you lads who live on the west coasts (similiar to me) deal with the adverse weather conditions that the weather throws at you? I reckon my birds would only go out about 30 days a year if i kept them in due to winds/rain etc.
