Guest Grasshopper Lofts Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 as the season is almost done with and being a novice i will be counting the days till i can race again. What can we do to make these days pass. We should all pitch in and come up with a novice quiz thats run in the winter months what you all think. Will be a bit of fun if nothing else
Guest REDFOXKRAUTHS Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 its never over for me mate i start preperation for the shows in august!!
Guest IB Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 You've your breeding pairs to sort out. You've to look at the races you want to compete in next year, the birds you want to send, and how you are going to work them. You've to sort out all the little snags around the loft. etc etc You'll be kept busy enough.

Ronnie Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Well ive just moved my young bird shed today and will be refitting it in the week.then next week the same will be done to the Oldbird shed.then the moult should be well and truly underway(nearly finished the old bird moult). Then it will be introducing next year yearlings to there new home then preparing for breeding. Then a few shows and christmas and then looking at me new youngsters and dreaming about the perfect pigeon wich will no doubt be in my shed next year of my best cock and hen then racing then crying cos i lost my best cock on the first race and my perfect pigeon went on a flyaway....... Lol loads to do and see in the winter months.
