jimmy white Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Indeed a great post, As a young, very inteligent young boy, Richard Sanderson, had the brains and forward thinking, to create this wonderfull pigeon forum, "pigeon basics", in which we all should be very gratefull for, which im sure most of the members are, As the years have passed , Richard has now become an intelligent and forward thinking young man, this young man,s forward thinking, has now led him, to have plans in marriage to the lovely Gemma, which im sure we all wish both of them, much happyness Through these years , richard, gemma, and all past and present mods, have put in many hours, and many sleepless nights [often unseen, and often un-thanked] to help build this wonderfull forum, Richard and Gemma have had the most difficult job in trying to be fair to all , which is a near impossible task, yet they have dedicated their time,in all these years, to strive for fairness and for the betterment of this forum . for this ,I for one, am eternally gratefull to richard and" pigeon basics" Also, for all the new friends ive made, all the lost old friends , in re-kindled friendships, etc, so in just a few small words ,WELL DONE, AND A GREAT BIG THANKYOU TO RICHARD AND GEMMA MAY GOD BLESS BOTH OF YOU

jimmy_bulger Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 a great site created and run by great people
Guest tom123 Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 whilst on a good note yes we all take advantage of comunicating with each other via this site i think the only moan i have is that at the end of the day were all adults and at times i think its run like a kids club for the following reasons if you say whats on your mind and certain individuals dont like it they either lock it down , move it or ban you come on were all grown ups i have never seen any bad language or personel threats on here to my knowing to warrant the above and if people want this site to improve in the future they need to let things run there course

Guest Denny Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 A great job, a brilliant site. A great source of information and a wealth of experience on hand. It is sad that some have negative attitudes, prior to the internet & forums, how did they manage before? The forum and site is light hearted, informative and as mentioned, a great to read after a bad day at work. Even hubby enjoys reading some of the funny comments on the forum and he is no way interested in pigeons! Keep up the great work Richard and Gemma and Moderators, praise well earnt.
Ian McKay Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Richard & Gemma have a thankless job and do it well Some members on need to grow up The site is as it say Pigeon Basics I cannot understand why some members want to post some of the rubbish they do. Someone said there is no bad language used on this site I think he /she needs to look at more posts. Why some people want to post a load of rubbish and cause disruption I find hard to believe Members banned have no one else but themselves to blame. If I was a moderator I would shut down post a lot more swifter, it is as plain as the nose on your face when trouble is brewing. The smart ones that post under different names are not as smart as they think, they can be traced quite easily, why would you want two or three names to post under if it is not for the purpose of causing trouble. I post under my name and am not affraid to let you who I am. Richard & Gemma have had more than their share of bad posts,PMs and phone calls but if at the end of the day you dont like the way the forum is run go elsewhere, you are not forced to comment or view. Richard started this site, owns it and should be respected for his inititative not questioned by all. I think mods should be more stricter with posts that we can all see going wrong and not leave it to rumble on and end up shut down, as I said before go somewhere else if you don't like it. I hope Richard & Gemma get a lot of satisfaction from all your messages supporting them on this site and long may it continue I post this as my views and will not reply to them that want an arguement This is to show my support for all the govenors wheather the are mods or not without them we would not be here. Ian McKay
Roland Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 Well most of the modulators are ok ... Think Oldyellows' a bit iffy lol ;D ;D
Beanz Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 As Far as I am concerned they are doing a great job, at5 the end of the day you can't please everyone. Paul

Guest asha Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 Hi sapper 356, It`s not a question of good or bad feedback, who owns site,or moderators and their own alleged bias leanings,it should always be based as Fair for all Favours for none, totally transparent, and most importantly, seen to be fair. What seems to be most probmatic is the FACE( goody, nice, caricature ) and the HEEL(baddy, nasty caricature) both ,as in all walks of life have their place, and right or wrongly, should be treated with same uniform treatment, but this does seem to vary greatly, with bullying swearing on open forum being allowed to be left on by usually the FACE,and the HEEL just as usual gets his treatment much harder. Perhaps with casual surfers looking in time to time, rich, gem and most importantly mods, should understand this is the real world ,with real people, and not just a soap opera with the never ending FACE and HEEL saga. Hope this will be understood by those in change, and not deleted,or corrupted.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion m8, I do not see any reason as to why your comment be deleted, however all I asked is that people with possitive comments to respond to this thread, as I am sure we have had more than enough negative comments in the past, By the way it,s 756
