Novice Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Returns into Ayrshire seem poor. Probably 15-20% losses. This was racing from Lockerbie. Was this due to simply racing the west route or perhaps the thunder in the atmosphere. It just seems strange our returns are poor compared to Lanarkshire.
THE FIFER Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 sent 17 hens 17 hens now back in the loft vel of 1st bird 1859,( not race winner ) 1st to me well done good returns and a good velocity, I still have 3 to come out of 10, and was late,
wings Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 Cheers Fifer, the winningvel was 1905 that could take some beating, the south east wind was blowing them home though when they came they werevery high.
Ronnie Posted April 25, 2009 Report Posted April 25, 2009 sent 9 cocks and 4 hens all home safely a bit of the pace.I had 8 cocks come with a few min's the hens where slow and one cock was a few hours of the pace .(will have to look at hime properly tomorrow).Still 4 mins behind the winner so not its a bit double sided pleased there home but a bit peeved that there not home quicker lol
