cemetary Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 There is always something to pick at mate, just watch they dont bring anything back into the loft and destroy the other birds. Eye if you come and pick ma birds up for me, the wife has ma car at her work. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest Owen Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Well man, you really are risking it. Slugs and woodlice carry worms. Wild birds carry all sorts of nasty things. Then there is the risk of sprays. Use fresh grit and minerals. Make sure it is changed regularly. Clay blocks help. And cut the food down.

I'd say increase it - they're not being fed enough Mine don't go fielding - the 'fields' are full of new houses nobody wants to buy
PIGEONJIMI Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 I remember Old Hand writing about this in the RP, reason they field is they are looking for 'Trace elements' and is easily corrected by providing a mineral block in the loft
weecunny Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 all the above r in the hut birds train and race well
cemetary Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Yes but there is something like a pick block can keep them from fielding, what sort of blocks etc doo they get. ya numpty ;D
weecunny Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 theres summit in the ground that man hasni found yet lol
cemetary Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Eye we no that dafty, but your birds are in the fermers fields. ;D ;D ;D ;D
OLDYELLOW Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 be more worried about poisoning if farmer plants a crop the seeds are died with a germination die which is toxic and could poison the birds
blackdog Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 get youself some matrix everthing in that mate,,birds should either be in sky or loft,to many things they can pick up in the fields with what farmers spray on the fields.
retired Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 never thought about it too much but i do have fields all around me now so its become something to think about. A friend swears by freshly dig mole hills to stop the fielding as they apparently contain alot of the good minerals from the ground.
weecunny Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 they never went to the feild before only been this year soon as the crop started to grow and race results ar good
