Guest Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 Kept in loft for 7 months, let out two weeks prior to their 1st race 123 mile, one 20 mile toss. Struggled from that race. Locked out everyday for two hours Monday to Thursday following.Next race last saturday 176 mile across the channel 1st & 3rd.
ALF Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 east wind helps the fanciers at brian,s end west wind helps us at my end. East wind should help me aswell but i would prefer a steady race without any east in the wind
blaz Posted May 14, 2009 Report Posted May 14, 2009 it looks like a lot of south in it on saturday. which does not help as i have a few yearlings. that i would rather they had to work a bit more at this stage.
lithgilad Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Twice this week from Hillend ski slope about 18 miles. thats an insult to old pigeons
rembrant2coo Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 thats an insult to old pigeons steady there lithgi
lithgilad Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 am steady tossed them the day min hardens them up
b.massey Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 why are you hoping for east winds brian? strange :-/ Keep them more central mate. Rosewell (where am from) cant have the birds coming up close to coast or other clubs in the fed get first drop and our birds need to work more west. But we get no over fly. Any time there is west in wind can just forget about fed....
b.massey Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 East wind should help me aswell but i would prefer a steady race without any east in the wind Not meaning for just east. Light South east or Light north east wind keeps me happy
peterpau Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 Funny that mate mine have had three 10 mile tosses but they will all go to Bordeaux 1/8/09
