shotgun tim Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 i have a quartz stb red cased it had a new battery put in on thursday and when getting set for the national on friday it had stopped they tried another new battery and it ran for a bit but then stopped again whos the best for repairing it i only use it for nationals as a second clock
greenlands Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 Tim ,sorry I can't help with a clock repairer but there's only one thing I would like to advise you on.I M O.It will probably cost you more to get the clock repaired than buy a good second hand one and it's always in the back of your mind that the clock's let you down.This is from my own experience.Lindsay
stantheman Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 tim try cleaning up the connections where the battery goes with a bit of emery cloth or sandpaper, its a common fault with the stbs especially the top connection in nthe piece of plastic that fits over the battery
