When will they start / finish moult?

will start moult at 6 weeks some go through moult faster than others, are you putting them on darkness.

I wasnt going to, will they be through the moult in time for racing if I do not?

Mine are just starting their moult now... will pair first week in April... just the one round. Taken away day after second egg is laid... should have a full wing throughout the ob season!

If you dont darken,they will be through body moult in 12 weeks from weaning but  at the middle to end of August they will begin another body moult because they will be on their 5th, 6th flight.

these pigeons are on natural darkness system should start a body moult about a couple months old,, but will retain their flights ,, but nights getting lighter each evening now , so if you want a full body moult with holding their flights , would need darkenning shortly

No body seems to mention these birds would do equaly well on full light now that way they will be completed there moult for racing flights as well.

ues light or dark system if left natural after the first few races your ybs will be getting down to there end flights.
