appleby 107 miles , back to lockerbie next week , 3 weeks running my firt 3 birds have been my poolers

right mazzie, stop bumming the midland fed up mate with your great returns as an ex member now flying down the east with full returns after 3 races racing this way and having alot of friends in the midland fed who have been cleaned out racing your great west route, why was it you had 22 away with full returns but only 17 this week? now you are going to start your 2nd team!! why is it you have under 1000 pigeons away after the 3rd race and also why has clarkson left (now with lanarkshire racing east) kirkintilloch racing east, slamannan with half their members racing east, that you guys who are chasing only a red card wll continue to race down the west and get slaughtered week in weedk out, i actually feel sorry for you's, you won't realise how good it is until you are out of that solway area!!! ask yourself the question why you are only going to the 100mile mark with your young birds.

North West Fed go there next week instead of Seaham Harbour.  Programme changed because Fed got humped with OBs at Seaham Harbour this year, I dropped 10/27.

Only problem is we flew Witton Castle in 2006, YBs, Fed got humped and I dropped 8/14, and we never went back there.

Frying pans & fires spring to mind.  :(

Well Ian where would you suggest we should be going instead of Seaham Harbour. If my memory serves me correctly when we flew witton castle in 2006(and i too lost many y/bs on that day)the problem lay not with Witton Castle as a site but because of the weather conditions not far from the liberation area, birds should not have been liberated that day!

I had 5 birds reported from that race all within 3 miles of the liberation point.

The fed management commitee had few choices available to them for a race at a similar distance to Seaham Harbour.

Why if the losses were so great at Seaham Harbour old birds did the club putting in a letter to the fed to have it removed not do so right after the event instead of waiting till the week before the upcoming race?

Agree totally with RWB, this is verging on cruelty sending young pigeons into hawk infested areas. The Midland fed is not thinking about the welfare of their pigeons, but who has an advantage in winning a red card.I would say, get your act together and join Lanarkshire and really enjoy your racing.

in my experience there are no bad racepoints. dodgy weather, clashing and raptors are the main causes of bad races

come out the mdland fed for 1 season and look in and you will see the same as we are seeing, i for one do not want to see anyone losing pigeons, you lose pigeons, you lose members, you lose sport!! yes i did speak to big wull up at the strays and he told me wilkie only had 13 yb left after 2 races, why is it your members of the midland fed are sending trainers with others feds?? p.s. post your return sheet up here and we might believe you but that would be a big might!!!
