How many do Louella bred every year 10,000 + how many national winners each year come from them from what i see in the book's web site not that many.

Thats my point john, you know more than most being a breeder yourself how many birds they must be putting out each year, if they were that good there would be national winners everywhere from them but there aint.

we have all spent hard earned on birds that the owners guarnteed will win  at the distance and are bred of first prize winners only to be disappointed when they failed miserably ....................

SOME ONE P*** TAKING AGAIN I AM NOT AN OWNER HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH LOUELLA

reading through the posts i think its clear not many get birds from louella,s as they used to do years a go.

they offer fairly cheap affordable birds to race.

but dont expect to win nationals with them just because they are from there.

i had a staff van reet(£99 for 6) that bred me a bird to win several club/fed cards when x with a bird of mine.

but the other 5 just bred racing pigeons ;)

everyone knows of the strong rumours about ill birds coming from there...true or false i think its put people off buying there.

remember the saying apples dont fall far from the tree...so buy close to the original champ as possible...like squash...the more water you put in it ,the taste gets weaker! :)

I personally know fanciers who have bought old stock from them and bred winners , you pay your money and take a chance even if you buy from clearance sales. :) :) :)

i wouldnt go to a place like louella for birds, i prefer to go to the succesful breeder/racer for stock.....this my own personel

view, not knocking anyone who choses to buy stock from them, which ever route you decide to take, the very best of luck to you.

I know for a fact he is not connected to louella in anyway, shape, or form, If you like the look of the bird/pedigree buy if not walk away, same with any loft or stud, no one is forced to buy pigeons off anyone.

I know when a task is too big too tackle and I dont chase lost causes. Not a job I would be interested in! Tom Cruise might take it on and make a new film....'Mission impossible.. a bridge too far'  ;)
