Please phone the correct number when you use Lib Line as refered to in your year book PAGE 20 i.e information on recording and hearing early arrivals. I have never phoned lib line in my life even for my own Fed and Never will it's a scam to make money. Ian McKay Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 Hi Frank - 123 I ran it this year up till the Yb race it is totally a waste of time The idea is good but in practice it does not work but makes money for the BHW and the SNFC To make it work properly it should be run in conjunction with the Web site and be compulsory. At the Eastbourne race I was at the computer from 5pm till midnight back at 5am till midnight now how do you pay someone to do hours like that. 24hrs work just for one race The other problem each time you update it wipes the previous ones off. I took this up with the organisors who cannot resolve it I cannot believe in this day of age with clocks that phone you when you have timed a bird, Text messages to any part of the world, mobile phones that are as good as your computer that this cannot be sorted out but it might cost money!! The BHW libline is cheap and profitable

JADE Posted September 13, 2009 Report Posted September 13, 2009 yes it could be improved but if members dont phone in their arrivals it becomes a waste of time. the updates should be at set times i.e every hour so you know when to phone back if you dont want to miss an update and if its too much work forone person why not get a member from each region to update their own area. its great to watch the nfc and mnfc etc races unfold as the birds work their way up the country.
