my thread from last night

bring back my thread from last night it was taken off at 11pm because it had 1 word that just ask me didnt like and he sent me pms saying he would deal with it when he had time thats now over 24hrs to delete a post. I know it's a thankless job being a mod but it's there role they have accepted the offer so when they take something off to amend they should put it back up asap but it's not something to work in favour or to help them in anyway so it takes an age to be put back on.

 

I think this is bang out of order and I want to speak to the webmaster as the mod who took it off isnt on

If it only had one word which was "offensive" it need not of been pullled it could of been modified/edited in-situ perhaps admin the mods should be taught what controls they have and what is or isnt required for editing purposes as this situation could of been avoided THIS ISNT A CRITISISM JUST A SUGGESTION .....pete

Like i have just said in another post, Us Mods are only Human, i Know just ask me, intended just to edit and put back up, But he had something to do offline, and Hence it was delayed coming back up.

 

Please just pm a mod or admin that is online at the time and we will deal with the situation as soon as poss, Greig if you had asked me yesterday when you were on, and i was on, it would have been sorted. Thanks

Pete like i said im not critisising [sp], and i know your only human as i mod on a pigeon site myself but the thread did not need to be removed to edit it, it could be done where it sat and nobody would of noticed it had been edited so surely education is the key if the mod in question had known he could of edited the offensive word without removing the thread he would of done so j.m.h.o pete

when a thread has to be split, it takes a bit of time ,you get all posts coming up with squares for you to tick for the ones you want off, it takes time, and if you are dealing with other things, which the mods seem to be getting just now then taking something off to edit is the best way, but once again ,sorry for the delay,

sorry about that at the time i took the thread off i was busy removing posts and editing threads also had things going on at home i wasn't on much yesterday as was in bed as i work 12 hr shifts so was in last night at 8 last night till 8 this morning  it had slipped my mind yesterday to do while on hope this explains it better

yes m8 , but we usually go through the whole thread to check, that others are not left on, as you see we get hassle if we take something out and someone says another is as bad and we left it, its not easy m8 pleasing all, some of the parts we have to take out get annoying as the same things have repeatedly had to be moved but put back on, thanks for your cooperation and thoughts,

not read all the replys on this thread or the 1 with the pictures/mugshots and adverts for water (flyingteesider) but would just like to say thanks to the mods it's all sorted keep the pics coming guys and i will see them later on tonight

Gosh lets all let these stupidities and just lie where they should do, out of sight! A mention to the mod in private, would be far better eh!

Not saying - nor caring - whether the post should have come off, or amended, like 99% of all member who really gives a toss. It's done dusted and over with.... Time for others to get over it I'd suggest..

I am on a another forum and they have a sin bin section, over 18's and members enter if they choose to a bit like the chit chat and can air their grievances on that section. At least it keeps it from the main boards and allows members to get things off their chest  :-/

It is a forum for anyone it has a section for over 18's called the sin bin. You register as an over 18, if you are telling lies then it is your problem not the sites just like any law/rules that applies to over 18's you police it as best as possible, if a junior tells lies and enters an over 18 pigeon site section then what other over 18 sites are they on, I think the pigeon site would be the least of the parents worry Also on that forum you have to have been a member for at least 12 weeks and 25 posts, it works well but as in all walks of like nothing is full proof.

We almost all start as aliases on any site but before long we all in one way or another learn who is behind the alias and that does not mean to say that joining as Joe Bloggs is really Joe Bloggs and I am sure there are a few Fifers on here under other aliases

One thing for sure is the arguments about certain issues continue and not just the same members in what I have seen in the last 2 1/2 years since I joined and if nothing is even considered then it will still be here in 2 1/2 years and more

It always amazes me how other forums get brought up and they are unsuccessful in most cases as well!! This forum has set rules, they are the rules for this forum which we agree to abide by when we join. If you're happier with other forums because the rules suit, then use those instead of this one. If you think the rules on here need changing pm admin but remember it ain't a democracy, none of us have any right to set the rules , unless of course you own the site!!
