pigeonpete Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 piece of p*ss to fit and cheaper than buying a new clock meant i might break my clock fitting and therefore having to buy a new clock!! lol
Guest racer Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 just gently put in with flap facing plunger and then use bottom of ball point pen to push down
REDCHEQHEN Posted April 27, 2009 Report Posted April 27, 2009 meant i might break my clock fitting and therefore having to buy a new clock!! lol (evil)(evil) we got somebody with experience to do ours LOL !! Someone in another club had fitted a few of these - and did ours I have 2 x T3's - one with these DIY ones and one with a conversion (bought T3 already converted)

Guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 would like to ask PIGEONPETE =did you have any problems ?? also REDCHEQHEN = do you have a preference ? is one clock better/easier than the other?? also ,has anyone fitted just a small number of click n clock ? ie just 3 inserts in one clock if so any problems with its use?? andy.
blackdog Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 hi andy, our club all got 6 inserts fitted mate and up till now 3 members clocks have jammed this season, the trouble is if the rubber opens up when you take it of and you put it in the clock it catches on the top of the inserts lid then when you strike the clock the rubber jammes between the flap and the barrell mate and the plunger wont come back up without pulling at it so not timing in till the plunger comes back up wasting a lot of time, when you clock further birds the same thing happens and also at clock checking, it happened to me and it took ages to get the barrell round so they could open the clock.
grizzal Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 yes 3 members got 12 had 4each and have not had any problems
Guest Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 thanks for the replies Grizzal and Blackdog . Blackdog can i ask was it the same members who had problems? were they elderly ? not being funny ,these are geniune questions . any other members have feed back would be appreciated. andy.
blackdog Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 hi andy, no mate 3 different members and only 1 elderly
REDCHEQHEN Posted October 5, 2009 Report Posted October 5, 2009 This was our first season using a converted T3 and a T3 with inserts - I managed to jam the converted one Much as I hate to admit it - it was my fault (kewl) My right hand (on the plunger) was quicker than my left hand (the one with the race rubber) and it wasn't fully in the chamber - thanks to a member in the fed- who persevered in trying to unjam the clock - we still topped the Fed
