hi i have been building my team of young birds for racing next year and gave them 30 /40 / 50 and 60 mile tosses this year as i am only starting to race next year.i notice two strays in my loft when sending birds so i put them a side and checked to make sure they were healthy and gave them a little medication before i let them go. i kept them 2 days let them go with my birds up to 60 miles away only to find both strays arrived home before mine i was not at all pleased should i report and race these birds?

I believe that many, rightly or wrong, but I tend to agree with, often send a stray up the road after being kept overnight in spare room etc. this of course if they seem not the worse after a light feed and watered.

Yes have phone the owner and kept a few days as agreed, and took them some / part way towards their loft. Most get home. Believe that a different lib often rekindles and jolts their instinc whatever it is and they home as they are suppose too.

As for Ron123 I think he should repost them to their owners. Say they he thinks they may have been amongst his when they had their last toss. - Mind if he takes them 20 miles up the road the other way, most likely they'll home and then have to face the music...

Yep Ron123, whatever, just report them. if they come back again after, report them again .... most likely you will transfer them and lose them ... especially as they may well go back home lol. Nothing stranger than pigeons and Folks, and many pigeons - if allowed have two lofts.
