Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 I Think the first race i ever entered into aged 11 will always be my favorite . can still see my mealy pied cock come straight on line now folding and diving for the loft and won me the club by over 130 yards turned out to be a good distance bird for me in the end lol
fletch Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 when i was 14 winning first club first worcester fed 7000+ birds then same bird following up the week after 1st club 3rd fed sent with 3 day old young bird she was on here baby before we could get in the loft, memories
Roundo Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 From this season it would have to be taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Fed one week with the Yb's. There's been some great Ob performances, but this race is still fresh in my mind. Colin.
billt Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 From this season it would have to be taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th Fed one week with the Yb's. There's been some great Ob performances, but this race is still fresh in my mind. Colin. Thats an ace result
Guest strapper Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 well two races this year i will remember(with regret) because i didnt bother entering my birds into the two nationals and just entered the birds i sent into the club after having 2nd thoughts. over the water...i would have been 9th nat and the following race i would have been 10th nat..sometimes you could just kick yourself. but most memorable is my 1st ever fed position 14th.(few years back)..i was over the moon...then the following week i topped the fed...somehow it didnt seem to hit home the same as that 1st time in the fed.
mosslands1 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 i came last in a one bird race once 8) ;D
billt Posted October 21, 2009 Author Report Posted October 21, 2009 i came last in a one bird race once 8) ;D Like every race mate, someones first and someones last, we've all been there
leighton1984 Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 best at are lofts was winning the water loo 2 bird club 3 time on the trot never been done since every one in are fed say winning the water loo club is like topping the fed. two races was cross the water and one was a young bird race.
Guest Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 after having a bad race from newbury in 2008 losing my best birds my yearlings coming through this year with 1 winning 2 1sts and 7th,8th fed after him having a sticky start when he sat on the roof for 8 minutes in the 1st race when well in front of the next club bird
taffacre Posted October 21, 2009 Report Posted October 21, 2009 For me clocking the first 6 in a club race and beating members who have won 6 nationals between them, and all 6 being on the federation result. very satisfying.
