I am as outraged as anyone who has heard about this. How many of the people on here would actually give information if they knew anything? There must have been thousands of people who saw the state of the pigeons in Blackpool in those stinking baskets. And a heck of a lot of them would have wondered about the rings. Could it be that this where these birds will end up?

There can not be all that many places in the area that would have the facilies to keep these birds. And there can not be all that many who would have an intimate knowledge of the Fanciers or the area. It does not seem to be the biggest detection job to find the filth who did this. I think it is a safe bet that there are people who know things but will not want to get involved. As has already been said, these creatures can and should be hunted down and dealt with.

If anybody knows anything and as a result Jimmy gets these birds back we will breed them a complete round of latebreds from our stockbirds, these 8 pair of stock are retired racers that have won 11 x 1sts 8 x1sts, 7 x 1sts, 5 x1sts etc etc, we specialize in the sprint races these are good honest birds...come on lads lets get the scum that have done this to a top bloke......Steve & Bob (Duggan & Hughes)

i think this happened to steve wheatley a couple of years back he got his to blackpool but someone new hismates van nicked them before the show but most of his best best weren't in the van, they were in steves car, there's some scumbags out there

hi fitzy here i would just like to say everyone seems to think our property was empty at weekend when breakin happened my son and the two dogs were at home

Absolutely terrible,I remember the same thing happened to Andy Lowe with his fancy pigeons,and more than once I think,they knew he would be at a show so the oportunity was there.I know the fancy birds are often stolen for export to places like Pakistan where there is high demand,but I don't know if show racers have the same foreign appeal.

It is not nice to think that fellow fanciers would steal your birds but at about 1 in 3 shows we attend a bird goes missing,infact one of ours went missing at Lancashire Champs show but whoever had taken it obviously panicked when they couldnt get out as it turned up 2 isles away in someone elses pen,we are going to use cable ties in future on all our pens.

I dont know how anyone could take pride and credit at shows for birds that they not only havent bred themselves but have got through ill gotten gains.We both really hope that Jimmy can gain some strength from the support on this site and the fact that we are all thinking of him at what must be a very upsetting time
