Peckedhen Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 Great - so how do I get them off? I've been told that the birds are harder to ring with the new rings and to make sure that I don't let any get too old or I'll never get them on. :-/
pjc Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 I realy don't see what the fuss is! If you attempt to cut/file the lugs off and crack the plastic the bird will not be eligable to race, is it worth taking the chance?

Might try and do it tommorow on a ring, without a pigeon attached to it, to see if it possible :-)
Guest lenwadebob Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 To be honest I would be inclined to wait until the RPRA announce it in the BHW or on the RPRA Site.

Guest stb- Posted February 26, 2010 Report Posted February 26, 2010 personnaly i dont see owt wrong with them, not any worse than e t s rings

If this is so & the issue of rings for 2011 will be issued in December I can only think this is because lots of feds/clubs are going to other Unions for rings, closing the stable door after the horse has bolted me thinks.
greenlands Posted February 26, 2010 Author Report Posted February 26, 2010 bubbleandsqueak, agree with your comment, also several members joined the NWHU to get their rings. Lindsay

pjc Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Watch the potential rule change on the ETS traps tomorrow. Ps - 2 x ETS traps for sale - if interested PM asap ;D what have they changed now then?
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 what have they changed now then? London region I think wants it so bird is confined to loft or trap before its clocked.
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 London region I think wants it so bird is confined to loft or trap before its clocked. Sorry its the Western region.
pjc Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 London region I think wants it so bird is confined to loft or trap before its clocked. That is how WHPU is already so all those expesive traps will be going cheap then!
Guest cowboy Posted February 27, 2010 Report Posted February 27, 2010 Pigeon Rings is it right that we can now file the wings off new gb rings and they will be acceptable ? as it was passed in a special meeting last night
