web site lost all my info since joining in jan

hi, back here as a re registared meb.tried to login yesterday.but was told user name and password were invalid.after trying allday,decided to re register,using same user name and password,and was told they wer availible.good to be back on site,but only problem is i have lost all my p.ms and data since i joined in january.has this happend to anyone else,and can it be rectified        yours vander

DJW was on here, he had to re-register under DAVE W now he cant get on, he tried for nearly 2 hours last night, but still nothing, he has been trying since he came in from work, still cant get on the site, but hopefylly FIFER/VALLANCE can help him get back on the night.

It happened to me last October, albeit with different owners, but it is still the same complaint, but becoming more frequent. Have to agree though it's a pain in the butt when it happens. Hopefully this will be sorted soon with the pending new Software/Server.

I have noticed this for some time now Paul, its like entering the Bermuda Triangle (between 20.45 and 21.15 seems to be the most frequent occurrence)

If your really that desperate to get your info back you can make a request to the server company that runs this forum, you have to give good reason and in some cases make a legal request but you will be able to retrieve it.  I know for a fact the company makes what are called incrimental backups of the information on everyone of the servers which is independant of what Vallance as a customer does, this is the reason why you can get it and the admin can't, well they can but there might be a charge incurred and if everyone asked for thier lost info it would get awful expensive to run this place.

 

 

Just to add, even if pigeonbasics change to another server the info kept on the other servers have to by law be kept for a certain period of time, years in most cases.
