dwh Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 try being in our club we had it nearly 3 yrs n still some members use t3's nowt wrong with that but the bitching about clocks when striking and reading off verges on childishness and the ridiculous :-/
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 ETS systems dont win races , healthy fit and good pigeons do :)
JADE Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 The facts of the matter is the racing pigeon sport is run by morons. They have no vision for the future and couldnt give a toss whether the sport crumbles . We are all responsible for the sports decline, not encouraging new members etc. Roland, your statement is sadly true but if some folk maintain this attitude to new members then I fear the worst for our credibility as a SPORT. The word DISCRIMINATION comes to mind > > sorry delboy i think you are insulting hard working club/fed officials most of whom are certainly not morons!!! some may be and also other "members" who dont give a toss about anyone but themselves. they should remember you only improve by flying against the best and anyone who thinks different is kidding themselves
weecunny Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 no one can stop you using a clock end of yes but if no one in the club will set a stb then thats the setters rite
dwh Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 ETS systems dont win races , healthy fit and good pigeons do :) agree with you rab got to get them there 1st but we got 29 lofts in a very small radius so it is an advantage in the shorter races
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 yes but if no one in the club will set a stb then thats the setters rite sorry m8 until that becomes law then all clubs should be duty bound to provide setting facilities . Thats discrimination :-/ :-/
dwh Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 sorry m8 until that becomes law then all clubs should be duty bound to provide setting facilities . Thats discrimination :-/ :-/ IT SURE IS MY FRIEND
Guest challengerlofts Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 After 15 years, I just came back to my beloved hobby's last January 2008. I'm 39 yrs old and first time i've seen in my life T3's clock and i'm enjoying using it. I could feel my heart beating so fast & happiness when everytime i'm trying to clock in my pigeons. Theres no need to turn down or to vote for it this ets. Always remember, this sports run by the RPRA, but not by ETS manufacturer.
Guest spin cycle Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 ETS systems dont win races , healthy fit and good pigeons do :) so they say......and wherever, presumably, the pads are placed (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil) (evil)

Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Imagine ETS boys knocking back someone using a clock ,, :-/ most would be rubbing there, HANDS WITH GLEE when racing against a T3 user .,
dwh Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 THEY CAN USE BIG BEN IF THEY WANT I DON'T CARE THINK THIS CLUB IMO IS FRGHTENED OF HONEST COMPETITION LOVE TO FLY AGAINST THE LIKES OF FRANK DOOMAN, STB,KINGBILLY ETC MIGHT'NT BEAT THEM BUT YOU ONLY AS GOOD AS THE MEN YOU BEAT
Roland Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 it would be a different nstory if they in club only wanted 1 member to get there own birds away ( a bunch o bairns take a look in mirror ) Don't understand your post. Especially regards looking in the mirror. What I spouted is simple fact. And you can look in the mirror till the cows come home.... won't change one iota what that club wants to do. It’s called democracy. Same as if a club forms and says we won't have any E.T clocks. Spout about the rights, and what the union spout about rights, simple realism any one wanting to use an ET wouldn’t get voted in. Now where is that so hard to understand!. It useless spouts anything if your not been voted in. Certainly no good having a pop at me. I have just voice reality and facts. If your not in the club, they can promise cheese from the moon and all the crap scenarios you and anybody else wants. Fact is YOU, me, and all who voice an opinion who don't have a vote can’t change a dot. Niether can the unions as no laws are, or have been broken. Now you look hard in the mirror long and hard and take the egg off your mush. I didn't make the rules. Nor wish to change them. So go ahead and spout at someone that might listen.... but you still won't get a vote, and won’t change a thing. Right, Wrong or indifferent!
daz170475 Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I think you will find the rule book says " no member can be forced to use or purchase ETS." As someone else on hear said "No wonder the sport is in decline with stupid attitutes like this". Surely we should be encouraging people to race pigeons, regardless of what clock they have !!!!!!!!
Delboy Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 sorry delboy i think you are insulting hard working club/fed officials most of whom are certainly not morons!!! some may be and also other "members" who dont give a toss about anyone but themselves. they should remember you only improve by flying against the best and anyone who thinks different is kidding themselves I am talking about the unions Jade, the folk at the top arent doing enough to help our sports longevity. I myself, have been in the past, a secretary, vice president, member of SNFC committee x 3 , and have worked my a$$ off for many years . The people controlling the sport arent, imo, doing enough to encourage people into it. I was told by an SHU worker, '' If you want to fly in a club, then you will have to start your own '' This is because I cant get into a club in my area. A bloody disgrace how the pigeon game is going :B :B
Roland Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 Yes you have to get the bird home to win it. But the reality many, and many again races are won on the clock, and dozens of minor, well deserving birds lose out every week to the 'Clock'. Barry had 12 drop together for instance. Exactly 12 second between each bird time WHEN already in the loft. Ok he took first 4 placed club and Fed. If on the ET he'd took first 12 no sweat. And doing 1760 yards a minute means simply means in between him or other birds being timed in YOU ARE giving 352 yards to every other bird behind. Reality. Can't argue there. Saw the Kings cup won by a fraction of a second. Winner ET. Second bird Manual. Mr Dale still wonders, as he's written (check the BHW ETC.), if I'd be on ET I'd probably have won the gold cup. Open to debate. But yes the bird has to do it, for both. On a sprint race of 1760 (a yard a second) a manual clocker is given at least 500 yards to an ET. Never mind so what and they should get a ET etc. the facts are there for all to work out.
Roland Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I think you will find the rule book says " no member can be forced to use or purchase ETS." If not voted in you are not a member. Simple that.
VMS Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 For all fanciers that have chosen to equip themselves with ETS,have your performances improved due to this clocking system.
Guest stb- Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 I think you will find the rule book says " no member can be forced to use or purchase ETS." If not voted in you are not a member. Simple that. If you dont get in Rland it dont matter if you time in with a calander m8 it makes no difference :)
Roland Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 If you dont get in Rland it dont matter if you time in with a calander m8 it makes no difference :) Exactly mucker. And yes it does peeve many of us these silly 'Hardline selfish egoist. But they pay their dues and are entitled to do as the like within the rules. Lord of the Flies said 'Rules! Bollockanostic to the rules. But we have to have them. Trouble is too many try to shift 'The spirit is was intended' into personal gain etc.

Guest thunderbird Posted March 6, 2010 Report Posted March 6, 2010 van link i think a fuller storey would give a full outlook for peaple to comment on mr burford from ross was not refused as he had no ets he was accepted profisionaly and he should get ets ?? you resigned due to the club and the fed being corrupt now you know youer comments on that were given to youer fed???over the trailer??/philip was the sec for ross on wye and with 9mile overfly nowonder he wanted to join
vanlink Posted March 7, 2010 Author Report Posted March 7, 2010 I am not sure why you need to use names as if you are some clever journalist exposing some scandal in the sunday papers. I did not see any reason why the club or individual needed to be mentioned in order to discuss the topic. He was sent a letter saying he was refused due to not having ETS despite the fact that he was assumed not to have it. He does not live in ross and there is no overfly, he would have been the shortest flyer in the club. Yes he has been sec of a club for 28yrs until recently he decided to have a break from running a club to enjoy his birds. As for my comments on the club and the fed being corrupt, completly untrue and i am sure that my letter of resignation to the club stayed with the club and did not find its way to the fed because this would be against the rules and this club does not break the rules.
Guest thunderbird Posted March 7, 2010 Report Posted March 7, 2010 vanlink if you cant even tell the truth about your own reason for leaving the club don't expect sympathy from people and as Phil would state he was accepted provisionally there is no problem is there and Phil no longer lives in Ross he still has 9miles overfly on said club and do not deny your comments of corrupt you quoted that on open forum hence your fed were informed and a guest has stated of the thirteen members voteing on his membership 7for 6against??//
