Future survival is all down to PR and promoting your sport/pastime at every opertunity, the RSPB have got well organised one. As soon as any bird topic is unveiled the media contact them and they are right on the job getting their oar in first "KILLER OWLS ATTACKING DOGS ON A PUBLIC FOOTPATH" Joe public hardly going to cause any fuss it dissapears :-/

Yet still the Fancy as a whole won't cotton on. 50p even each... but no they'll rather moan and expect the shiny white knight to appear... yes even now 700 years after they have disappeared.

Talk about head in the sand. Might as well be. The reason yet again why the RPRA won't entertain the idea! Because of the members out cry of wasting THEIR' money! Struth Gordon Bennet, where are we here! Just what is, if any can be found, the down side! NONE,and that's another fact.

Never mind the costs inncurred week in and week out, they horrid sight and dispicable sights incurred every week, week in and week out! No they'd rather moan than put their' hand in the pocket for a PR Firm. Just 50 blumming pence each member!

Again, never mind the cheaper and effective 'Pour On' that has great hidden treasures... they rather spend a lot more on lesser products to make a 'Name' more wealthy when that NMAME should be promoting 'Pour On' for the better as a whole for the sport!

We do wonderful charity works, and on here it is also very true.

how about a breeder buyer where all the proceeds, or even 75% say, goes to each club buying an Eagle Owl! No, no blumming way, much rather whinge and moan forever, and see the desolcration instead.

Where is the Mouth piece that will bring together every other concern to unite? Where are these marvel men that run companies that have the time, and effect to spare, to fork out THEIR money to combat these purges. Yes in this cuckoo land of ours the members still think thak they will appear and with great vengance put right to rights. Hope it is the bump falling out of bed that wakes the up. mind be to late then, because the Raptors will be sort each other out, for that will be the only food left.

I'll donate my services free for such causes, to raise money, if cost petrol is put up! Offered many times, but never took up! rosscoleyevents.co.uk

this is getting rediculous

i am new so maybe i dont know the full scale but from what i read on this forum as soon as someone makes a thread or reply that even remotely seems like they are defending falcons they get threatening replies. why?

i think instead of inciting a metaphorical war on bops and their owners why dont we try to ally? think of it for a sec. we, working with the falconers, can lend each others expertise to help each others birds, falconers( with their immense knowledge on falcons) might happily tell us if they find a way to keep wild falcons away. so while were wasting time fighting the falconers more of our precious pidgeons are being lost.

maybe its time we set our differences aside and work together...

and watch people threaten me from this post, i just hope you read till this point before saying im as evil as the falcons

and for gods sake falcons kill to survive, ive seen them fly and they're beautiful, i like em as much as i like pigeons

now think of it this way, i joined the international falconry forum and if you saw that story about a pigeon used as live bait at a pere nest, they were equally as disgusted, but as soon as you hear a falcon is dead you jump for joy, read your posts and try to find a human emotion called shame

oh dear..damn right we jump for joy when a falcon or sparrowhawk has died! most people with pigeons work their nut`s off all week in their job while also during the week they train there birds, feed there birds and try to motivate there birds, this is all with trying to do a hundred other jobs around the house or garden,or some may even have kids to deal with through the week...oh and alot of fanciers spend their hard earned cash on pigeons hundreds if not thousands and all this hard  work through the week can be undone by these falcon`s during a racing lib or training lib! falcon numbers are out of control now!!

have a look at this

http://www.rspb.org.uk/datewithnature/sites/

you can`t tell me these yellow dots on the map are the only peregrine nestsite`s in the uk!!!!

if you ask fancier`s if they know of any peregrine nestsite`s that map would be PLASTERD in little yellow dot`s.so we have a right to be angry.

i myself years ago would stand up to fellow club members on the side of hawks and falcons.i was told you will change your mind sooner or later . dont think so was my smart remark. but after getting birds back ripped to shreds more than half eaten . all it was doing was trying to get back to me where it was safe and well looked after. i now HATE them  with a vengeance. i know this is not very positive on the let try and work it out with falconers . but that is my view on the bop that think my bird is their next meal . i will do anything in my power to protect my birds from them. ANYTHING
