Guest bigda Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 all i :Xcan say its has denied :X the sick institute, there pleasure of a racing pigeon kill at least 2,000 pigeon have a short reprive as that would have ate 2,000 if its live span went full term ;D and at one a day for seven years :o > > >:(would come to 2,555 birds
Guest bigda Posted July 4, 2009 Report Posted July 4, 2009 had a second thought on the scenario one peregrine bird eats one a day =365 a year 2,555 in seven year. there are said to be at least 20,000 of them thats 51.100,000 in seven years, or to say why the birds are not homing, 20,000 birds have been eaten to day coming from the races the size of the unc getting eaten every day :-/
Guest Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 And you are only talking about the Peregrine........... What about the Goshawk and Sparrow Hawk,,,,,,,,,,,, How many do they kill, if you want a truer picture :-/
blackdog Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 now lads be carful talking about bop, dont want to upset redcheqhen ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Roland Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Also don't want the pigeon faternity to cop the blame.... But most likely will. personally of course it won't be missed.
Roland Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Was a case on here just a few days back where Lead poison has about to kill a perry. Aparenty it swallowed it eating another bird.
Guest Owen Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 I have lost two youngsters this week to the peregrines. One I had paid a lot of money for. The other was out of my best Bull Cock and had real potential. If I could project my anger at them, they would all die a painful death. Horsewhip the idiot who releases these evil creatures.
greenlands Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Hi Owen " Horsewhip the idiot who releases these evil creatures". Sorry mate not good enough for them, they should be put in a cage with a tiger and other do gooders made to watch. When they release them they know what they are going to do.KILL BIRDS wether it be pigeons or other. So they can't call themselves bird lovers.Lindsay C
ZOOTY Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 We have a b.o.p. not far from my own stock, and yes i have missing ones on occassion, lucky for me we get told when in the area by........??????????? guess what???? we start to see a police car go up the country lane opposite me, in a wild location on moors which leads only to a reservoir, this only happens when a b.o.p. is nesting in the area. a pF We have an alarm on my house and sheds .... do they turn up if it goes off...no... but regulay visitors to see if the birds are ok. How we know, I actually stopped the copper a few years ago and asked ! rich really and not over bright as he told me the reason quite openly, of which that info could be used for egg hunters etc. I don't know exactly where they are nesting and being a law biding citizen not bothered but when my lass or me hear that unmistakable screech,we shut shop fast... nature eh... whatever we keep be pigeons or fish/ koi theres always something wanting to eat em!
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 well its pitty the police dont do the job they are paid to do instead of pandering to the rspb the old lady down rd just been robbed the old man het by teenager the drug dealers who they know ????but no waste time watching bird nest great britain great laugh you mean
BLACK W F Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 its a shame that some one shot the bird but if he comes to my local i will buy him a pint lol
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 im told the peregrine had not been shot but had digested the pellet through eating a bird ,which had been shot ,that is if its the same young female 010 from derby ..
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 im told the peregrine had not been shot but had digested the pellet through eating a bird ,which had been shot ,that is if its the same young female 010 from derby ..its just another nail for rspb to get them continued on the red list as it was attempted to take them off it but it will come our local rag has story were one was shot in nature reserve but its onl a wood belongs to forestry commisin but yet again rspb spin lucky the symonds yat birds are stirel but how long before they are removed by rspb as they get lot donateions from peaple watching chicks but now none about so no money
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 The RSPB have many spin doctors in times of CRISIS when money is in short supply ,or a death of a peregrine ,they have a endless supply of donations to help them with the cash . This is where the unions should be coming from across the country ,the use of a SPIN DOCTOR to fight our corner. The R.S.P.B. have many powerful friends in the government and will i am sure keep them on the red list . there is too much money involved now .
Roland Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 £100,000,000 pleadge each year + Bearements / wills etc. THEY like to be swilling at the trough. They can grease slimey hands even. mind, must admit, credit where credit is due, they - with the RSPCA - Came up with the Lard and salt mix. Mind it was used years earlier to erradicate nearly the Buzzards. Shamefully these birds don't drink water :-/ Terrible to repeat, yet many will needed to grease a chest or two before letting them out to exercise even. No of course they still exercise well.... but if unfortunate to be eaten, at least they will have deterred that bird, and it's mates most probably from pestering your loft again.
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 its just another nail for rspb to get them continued on the red list as it was attempted to take them off it but it will come our local rag has story were one was shot in nature reserve but its onl a wood belongs to forestry commisin but yet again rspb spin lucky the symonds yat birds are stirel but how long before they are removed by rspb as they get lot donateions from peaple watching chicks but now none about so no money my money would be these peregrines at symonds yat are exotic hybrids and would be both sterile ,but used for documentary purposes also used as a money maker with tourists ,which im sure will bring in more cash .
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 no they have been breeding for few years but i suspect they are eating contaminated squirrels that defa have been treating to make them stireil the squirrals that is
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 that could be one reason ,or maybe there is a need to introduce new blood into the pure peregrine ,like they used for the red kites in wales they imported if memory serves me a german red kite to had vigor to the red kites also make broods bigger and have since used spanish and sweedish red kites to add to the gene pool for these birds .
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 no they dont introduce hawks into this country the only ones here are wild ones god dont you know thats impossable they also dont put percy in cages on towers or in big towns then relise them when settled they also dont tell the truth but hy who am i to point that out
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 pmsl your right they dont hack them in this country ,there all wild >
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 well it seems we are the only ones that beleave they dont put birds prey anywere and they are all wild and they dont kill our birds or indeed any birds and the rspb do not want owls culled nor do they want falconers to return their birds to the wild but hy i just read watch learn but aint got a link so they are right and we are wrong
Guest numpty01 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 oh the reason they are in towns is because they run out cliff face.s to nest as they like to hunt over wate5r and they think towns are cliff.s and they carried the nest boxs with them to nest in and fitted camera.s as they love to be on tv trouble is rspb followers beleave this trapif the rspb were the goverment we would all be exsernanated
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 The rspb should leave all owls alone ,but to be honest there not a good maker for them ,they tried with the breed and release scheme years ao but found that everyone was breeding and releasing them and the cash flow was stopping as many people could breed and release them for fun .along with the forestry commission had this practice stopped .
Turk Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 oh the reason they are in towns is because they run out cliff face.s to nest as they like to hunt over wate5r and they think towns are cliff.s and they carried the nest boxs with them to nest in and fitted camera.s as they love to be on tv trouble is rspb followers beleave this trapif the rspb were the goverment we would all be exsernanated yes its true peregrines love to be tv stars :-/
