Delboy Posted January 28, 2010 Report Posted January 28, 2010 I reckon we should start an " ADOPT AN EAGLE OWL " campaign. Only £20 a head for someone to breed and look after eagle owls for us. They are beautiful birds and I for one would like to part own one

les Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Why is the rspb releasing european eagle owls when they prey on bop i thought they were trying to protect bop very strange indeed they dont go out to prey on bop ,they will only kill them if they want to take over a nesting site,
frank-123 Posted January 29, 2010 Author Report Posted January 29, 2010 they dont go out to prey on bop ,they will only kill them if they want to take over a nesting site, http://www.owls.org/Information/food.htm well the owl trust seem to say bop are a food source
les Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 http://www.owls.org/Information/food.htm well the owl trust seem to say bop are a food sourceother owls yes ,they probibly see them as a threat because they hunt at night as well so they would come across them regular, but they dont go out of there way to keep taking birds of prey like most on this site seem to think .other wise where they are in big numbers in other countrys ,they would be killing all the other bop in big numbers ,and they would soon become a nusance .just like the BOP are in this country.
DOVEScot Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 RSPB will kill it , just like they did the 1 at bristol They chose their words carefully, I died of starvation due to it's injuries, aye after they shot it
catchthepigeon Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 other owls yes ,they probibly see them as a threat because they hunt at night as well so they would come across them regular, but they dont go out of there way to keep taking birds of prey like most on this site seem to think .other wise where they are in big numbers in other countrys ,they would be killing all the other bop in big numbers ,and they would soon become a nusance .just like the BOP are in this country. They dont go out just with bop on their minds for dinner but due to more houses being built and countryside being swollowed up by a concrete jungle these birds find themselfs having to hunt in and around towns and villages and find it easy taking birds such as birds of prey roosting high up on tall buildings they find it an easier target than a jack russel
