do you think with all the pigeon sales , clearance sales etc people are trying to sell the not so good birds to get rid of them ? saying they won this and that and have you any paticular breed in mind to purchase at blackpool ? :)

you can be lucky with a pair picked up in blackpool 2 birds bought in 2 different years put together bingo thats my experience by the way they only cost £80 the pair (wiseman)

I bought a cock 2 years ago, he bred a YB for a friend to win 5 x 1sts this year, first time breeding. I had him picked out before i went, and i think thats what anyone should do, buy what you want and what suits and not just for the sake of it.

I bought a sprint pigeon at the Charity auction in the winter Gardens (19-80's).Timed it in the next year to take second club (60miles)

Sent him the next week (60 miles )

One week later received a letter from Manfred Krubb, to say the sprint pigeon he had donated to the show had returned to his loft in Germany.

Armstrong & Wheatley sale would be the one i pick. I have seen the birds they are selling and they are super birds. which were bred to sell form there best breeders and racers from what has to be one of the best lofts in the UK in 2009. trust me there will be plenty of winners come from these birds.
