WDA - New North Amal - Durham Combine - Up North Combine

All up together from Folkestone next Saturday (weather permitting)

Last year there were 33,000 birds in this race

Is anybody going to see the liberation in that area?

If there's a touch of east in the wind we see them going over in droves here in Dagenham. Let me know what colour your pool pigeon is and I'll tell you if its up the front or not :)

There are various rumours as to the number of birds being liberated - at between 31,000 and 42,000

Don't forget the photos or video it please (ok)(ok)

And report back of course (evil)

5:40am and a lovely start to the morning.  Just downing a cup of tea and feeling very excited about seeing this great lib.  Funny as it seems as well as excited it's also a bit emotional seeing all our beloved birds given their freedom as they swarm the skies and start their journey home.  Will try and get photos.  Shame you all can't be here.

WHAT A SIGHT.  There was 13 transporters, 46,000 pigeons and strings cut at 7:30.  Television camera was there but I think it was a local community channel to the Midlands.  Birds cleared in minutes and as usual some pigeons were reluctant to leave the baskets so were helped out.  Have got some pics, as soon as I can work out how to download onto here, will post.
