Guest Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 BLANTYRE HOMING SOCIETY HAVE NEVER EXPERIENCED LOSSES LIKE THIS ,ONE MEMBER LOOSING 39 BIRDS IN ONE RACE.WEST ROUTE COME ON THINK ABOUT IT. i do appreciate that some fanciers are getting it hard, i see it in my own club.but take today for example 252 miles to me,very hot day,you are expecting losses. my step father flys in the other fed and reports from him ,are that they are just as bad. so you can have bad loses from the east as well.
jimmywylie Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 I HAVE LOST 40 PIGEONS IN 7 RACES FLYING DOWN THE WEST ,COMPARED TO YOUR LOSSES YOU HAVE DON NO BAD ,BUT YOU HAVE STILL LOST SOME BIRDS.NO SO GOOD EITHER
Guest TAMMY_1 Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 the west route is not to blame for the losses.south lanarkshire are down the east and have sustained just as heavy loses today When we raced down the east route it was either 2 years ago or 3, that we raced from Leicester which was the equivalent race to yesterday , the yearling derby, and it was a very hot day like yesterday and the losses on that day were just as bad with a lot of fanciers losing practically all the yearlings they had along with loads of old birds as well, but hopefully a lot of birds will turn up today as the weather is in their favour
carlsberg Posted June 1, 2008 Report Posted June 1, 2008 i have still got 10/10 that i started with on the south road but on the north road i have 6/14 and i lost them at the 1st race
