Wiley Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 22/39 coming through like drops of blood. The disheartening things is you just don't seem to get them the next morning. 12/34, just a shame, had a brillant team off young birds, and it wasnt a bad weather day for racing on the whole, cant get my head around this one, im just hopin they work there way back up
schyphos Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 I can vouch for that Me to.Sent 41 to Retford, won club doing 1050 ypm.But only 30/41 back up until now.Race was 130 miles and first bird 12:07 its now 5:45pm.Hope they all make it either tonight or tomorrow.

Guest bigda Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 Hi 53 from 54 with Lanarkshire and yes bigda we were at Otterburn best I have heard is G MacAloney & Son vel 1865 :) :) Cheers Homer 49 just checking, with the wind and all, thought that would have suited ayr feds, alas they read the forecast wrong no race, anyway good race and I heared George gave us a brake, and stop putting his limit in, before 3min past what a relief that was, but I suppose he will not relent next week in the open :D :D

Tony C Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 should have come ok the weather has been good all day in lincolnshire One of those days that get thrown at us every now and again, no one to blame, just got to take it on the chin.
Guest spin cycle Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 hope you get some more birds back. perhaps it's that area of notts (or east midlands) is the problem....north road programme meets south road programme at about this time of season. i think unc from worksop today. my own lot were from malton ( east yorks)...i didn't send mainly through work...but also the corresponding races in previous years have been 'difficult'. best of luck
REDCHEQHEN Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 i think unc from worksop today. UNC basketed today for a race tomorrow so not guilty !!
Guest spin cycle Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 UNC basketed today for a race tomorrow so not guilty !! sorry, i wasn't blaming unc....just saying that part of world seems to become 'congested' this time of year. good luck tommorow

Guest IB Posted August 16, 2008 Report Posted August 16, 2008 We liberated from Tow Law at 11am, around 114 miles, in a SE wind. D McArthur won the club at 1:03pm doing 1620, he was also 2nd & 4th. Returns were patchy and poor, with clubmates on West side reporting seeing birds coming back the way. 4pm my returns just dried up with 13/17.
