aye ready Posted April 18, 2009 Report Posted April 18, 2009 if not who would feed protein after a race ? looking forward to seeing answers philips if you coat ur feed with lemon juice and brewers yeast which is 100% protein on their return you'll find their droppings are back to normal on the sunday morning. mind and allow to dry first, i make it up on the friday night on return from the club
jimmy white Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 i wouldnt break pigeons down as such, , i would much rather [depending on the type of race] feed some light seeds, with brewers yeast [a little kibbled peanuts if theve taken much out of themselves] , then a full normal feed later that evening , water being the main thing on arrival
Guest BRYANBROCK Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 i do not feed birds on return from race i find it water they want more than seed after an hour they get a mixture called expet from buxtons plenty protein e.t.c. i find this very good for recovery
greenlands Posted April 19, 2009 Report Posted April 19, 2009 once spoke to the best fancier in the lanarkshire fed and he told me not to breakdown and that the doos needed protein to repair the muscles not putting them down further I agree with you mate.
