no not today bit disapointed,been flying well and coming well  in training,

flying out of newark sent 20 1st drop NE wind, 1st 10 all out the south

still half missing mostly yearlings not the only member with birds missing

most with 5or6 missing at strike off

Got shock as took 4th club 148 birds, sent 20 had 8 in half hour and thought this is good.....but then stopped coming.  I have 5 away still. One of returnees good hen from 150 miles mark has half wing....bloody hawks.  May not get her in this year Some good ones away too.   So for me card not meaning much at 54 miles sooner have all birds home for a 500 miler later in season.....hopefully the missing ones return then feel bit better.

first race from lockerbie sent 42 birds up at 12noon my first bird was at 1307 , by 1320 had 30 home , only 55 miles think a should be in the top five out of 298 birds also had 13 in one min at 1309

young jamie drysdale who flies with his dad gordon won 1st club from coldstream in the pumpherston &district club well done boys thats the first one hope theres plenty more

had a good weekend, was 2nd club, which im very pleased with as im not normally close early on in the season, still 4 out from 27, 3 latebreds, and a 2 year ols that should have come from 69 miles?
