im thinking of letting my hen out for the second time. she is an 07 late bred.

she has once escaped but returned to her old loft. that was over week ago, should i let her out and see if she comes back? she has been in my loft for about 2-3 months now.

If she has already returned then I think it's safe to let her out the next decent day :)

she only lived a 10 minute walk from me.

To tell you the truth Lawrie i'd have had her out after a week and let her out every day as long as she was'nt bothering whoever you got her off and she could'nt get fed at her old loft you would most probably have broken her by now mate

i wanted to pair her up with a cock i was given first then let her out. the cock goes out but cant go far due to a broken wing. she wasnt fed when she went back to her old loft.

is she sitting eggs or youngsters, if its not far to go i would have no problem letting her out, dows she get a good look around the outside from in the loft,

she is paired up but isnt sitting on eggs or rearing youngsters. there are two windows to the back of the loft and a sputnick on the front. she can see all round the loft.

That's good so far, mind some of them are still a bit young, how are the indians doing?

thats good i think if she gets to know her area once down on eggs she will settle down, some problems you get with broken birds more so if they are close to their old loft is if racing they sometimes pay a visit to their old loft, and when you split them up they sometimes do the same, but if they are happy and dont get in to their old loft will soon settle down,

i was thinking of what the youngsters would look like too. i didnt think she would take to him being so young but she has. the blue indian fantail i got from you was a hen...not that i mind cause it only leaves 1 odd cock.
