Guest uphallhen Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I think that it was better racing down the west last year. Than the racing that we have had this year down the east.

Guest bigda Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Yeah I know mate. Try telling half my fed that..... cant see it making much diferance to the midlothian fed as normally we have predominately west winds that would bring you up the middle to east wards
b.massey Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 cant see it making much diferance to the midlothian fed as normally we have predominately west winds that would bring you up the middle to east wards Yeah prob right.... Just want something to change I suppose. Try something. We had to call it a day with two YB races to go last year. Would have been cleaned out. Pray we get it better this time around with the young
frank-123 Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Yeah I know mate. Try telling half my fed that..... don't you believe it mate the west is a killing ground ask the boys from south lanarkshire fed who don't even train that route i go as far as red moss cafe no further south

Guest uphallhen Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I think that the west is to hard for 60% of the fed. If the truth be told.
Guest uphallhen Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 cant see it making much diferance to the midlothian fed as normally we have predominately west winds that would bring you up the middle to east wards bigda your full of wind. ;D
Chris Little Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Avoid the west at all cost Our fed is the worst in the UK for losses
Guest bigda Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 I think that the west is to hard for 60% of the fed. If the truth be told. i take it you want to win against 40% of the fed, dont know what causes it, but it has nothing to do with mileage, so imo it must hold, more peregrines, and if i where a peregrine that's the side of the country i would be hunting west winds attack out of the sun into the Irish birds no cover for them there birds battling against the wind easy meat :'( :'( :X ??)
Guest Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 Avoid the west at all cost Our fed is the worst in the UK for losses wise words chris from one who lives in the killing zone and cant help but fly that route

Guest bigda Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 well there is a few guys from hamilton training down the west out of abington and elvenfoot the reason for that is possibly easier to get home from as other east routes can be a nightmare with digging up roads.
Guest uphallhen Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 got news for you hal no change for five years, ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :X :X 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) bigda well that tells me something that your birds must have been down the east last year . when the rest of us was down the west you and jim and the rest of the so called men thats all for the fed. :X :X :X :X :X

Guest bigda Posted May 26, 2009 Report Posted May 26, 2009 bigda well that tells me something that your birds must have been down the east last year . when the rest of us was down the west you and jim and the rest of the so called men thats all for the fed. :X :X :X :X :X nope wrong again hal, old birds down the west lost, young birds down the east remember L F changed route but your right about Jim sending birds down the east through north west and a few other pilgrims that follow with the wind and then say they are saltworth for the L F when you and i know different the same guys to use a blow torch on them would not give them a red neck, ;D :-/
