blaz Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 CATS DONT LIKE WATER .SO WATER AND WASING UP LIQUID MIXED SHOULD DO THE TRICK. AS FOR SHOOTING OR CAPTURE AND TAKING AWAY.THEN YOUR BIRDS WILL PROBERLY BE THE TARGET OF THE CATS OWNER. IT HAS BEEN KNOWEN TO GET THE OWNER OF THE CAT CHARGED THE OUT COME WAS THE OWNER HAD TO PAY THE PRICE OF THE BIRD IT KILLED.
Guest Owen Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Dogs are often house pets and are not always where you want them. Water works but you have to be there to throw it. The electronic devices only work for a short time and some cats ignore them anyway. I've never tried, or for that matter trusted, things like moth balls and amonia. I have used an electric fencer unit for years and that works. No dogs cats or foxes. You never see the animals tangle with it and once they have understood what it is they never try it again. After a while you can switch it off because they will not bother you. The wonderful thing is that I never have a miss word with my neighbours because their animals don't bother me and they are totally unaware of the fact that I have a fencer. Bliss!
Delboy Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 just had cat enter my loft and kill a bird it came back and took the carcass i watch it jump in the trap then back out again once they kill they will never give me peace so i have to get rid of it *expletive removed* sake Frankie, you getting plagued with these barstewards as well. >

leighton1984 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 get your self your own cat that lives in the loft with the birds. no more cats around your loft lol keeps them away
Roland Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 Yardstick Catapult yep... but if misses where does it land? Electric fence is certainly something they never get use to and thats for sure, and certainly don't like it.
Guest numpty01 Posted July 11, 2009 Report Posted July 11, 2009 all cats ???andbirds????should be treated with kindness regardless of the damage they do to our birds and we as fanciers realise that cats are really just following their natural urges
