jack Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Heck are we having a Pal and Betamax version as well. You haven't explained owt, are there more BHP or is there a cat or twin carb in them, or do they hae supercharged Jargon fuelled by green energy, i.e. bullshit what are you on about
PIGEON_MAN Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 come on tony you no bricon is crap you said you was going to change to UNICON so what your saying now bricon. no way it will ever beat UNICON you do set both ets up in the club and found that UNICON is much better and iv had the 2 ets system and i got RID of the bricon because there CRAP sorry to say mate ....pete I dont think I have said that any ones better than the other there is good and bad points with both systems that I have set.The only reason I might have changed at the time was because I was the only one in the club with Bricon and it would of made things easier all having the same, but now there are 3 of us i,m sattisfied to stay with what one i,ve got.
jack Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 ALBEAR KEEP YOU SMART REMARKS TO YOURSELF THE ONLY BULLSHIT HERE IS COMING FROM YOU
jack Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 y do you care what we get here in ireland anyway
Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 ALBEAR KEEP YOU SMART REMARKS TO YOURSELF THE ONLY BULLSHIT HERE IS COMING FROM YOU Jack you are being smart with your assumptins that others can not understand the issues. But you make it worse by using Jargon. Not once on this thread have you given a straight answer about what you have been pontificating, i.e. that Unikon is the best. You knows from demos and what you've been told, so share it, instead of telling us it's the best. I ain't got a problem with that I really want to know why? And I don't need a bully to try and shut me up with cap locks it dont work pal. Didn't realise this was an Irish only site and that those across the pond are not allowed to discuss ETS. So let's both cut the crap, why in your opinion is ETS the best?

Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 OK I'll leave it at that, it was a genuine enquiry cause I'm really stuck on what to get. Someone mentioned why would you want text facility, well I'm in a field in the middle of nowhere with no electric or owt, so for long distance racing where you have to time in to the clock as well as ets it woud be important. My honest opinion is that the two leading systems are Unikon and Bricon because of the amount of advertising they do and because the two main men are high profile. Taurus just ain't got the profile but I think someone told me they are the no 1 in Belgium, why? Maybe because their main person is also high profile there. I do however think that they are good products so shouldn't go far wrong with any. Though I was concerned on another thread that Taurus does not run on vista and someone else I think(?) said the others have problems with vista too. But Jack I hope you get the best system you can and I do hope you get the best price too. I'm just not convinced either way as to which would be better.
Roland Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 WE DID PAY FOR OURS ME AND THE WIFE £450 EACH NO CHANGE OUT OF £900 YES THE WIFE FLY AGAINST ME The good Lady may as well start of beating the easy meat first I guess... Good job the loser doesn't have to pay eh! lol :P ;D ;D ;D
greenlands Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I paid for one, but i certainly have no hairs or graces about sticking it on ebay and getting one from the club. i would do the same myself mate,Lindsay
Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 WE DID PAY FOR OURS ME AND THE WIFE £450 EACH NO CHANGE OUT OF £900 YES THE WIFE FLY AGAINST ME That's fantastic!! Bet you two have a great craic. If we don't get a grant I'll buy one, prefer for us all to be together and have the advantage of this new beneficial technology
Roland Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 Whilst I won't use mine against others that can't / won't / afford or whaever in one club ... I'll certainly have one for the clubs that MOST members have one. Just couldn't afford not to in relationship of giving them too much advantage.
Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 i bought my system about 3 months before the club got them through a lottery grant and they wouldnt give them to anyone that had their own system even though they had spares in the club hardly fair as it cost me £350 for a secondhand one and others in the club got a new system free so 5 of us got nothing out of the grant and the others could sell their old clocks any new mambers were given the spare clocks
Guest Owen Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 I have had a Bricon for a couple of years now. It's worked perfectly. And there were three Unicons being used in our Club. I don't like the fact that you have to take your birds to the Club to enter them on the system. And in addition the Unikon have had problems finding the signal for the clock. On the other hand the Club has about 20 Bricon systems running and no trouble. There has been some mistakes made by the members early on, but everything runs well now. The one important facility that is needed now is the ability to display the results of each clock onto a screen as it is read by the unit. This would releave the Sec of the job of calculating the velosities and the members would have a running result as each clock was read. I believe that Unicon may be closer to producing this software than Bricon. I will check on that in the next couple of days. If I had to choose a new system to start again, it would be Bricon.

I don't understand fanciers. Now I know I can be a smartarse and very direct, I also know that if my club make a decision I don't like I'll have my say and argue it out. But once the decision is made I will support it 100%, Why cause we should be sticking together. I'm sec of m club not out of choice but I will do anything I can for the benefit of all my members.

Guest Posted February 26, 2009 Report Posted February 26, 2009 UNIKON IT IS THE BEST AND EASIEST TO USE I JUST SIT AND WATCH THEM WALK IN ONTO THE PAD I ONLY USE ONE PAD I SWITCH IT ONTO YOUNG BIRD END WHEN THEY START RACING Not being confrontational honest, genuine question, have you experience of other systems to know this is the best or do you have information you can share which shows why it's better? Thanks

kingpin Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 HI any of you guys tried Mega ets system its really easy to use and lots of people in Ireland are useing it
OLDYELLOW Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Just a simple question, how many fanciers would have an ETS if they had to pay for them themselves,ie.no grant etc.I would love one but my back pocket won't allow it.Lindsay our club is an invitation club so not able to get grants i shall be getting an ets maybe this season maybe next depends how my finances allow its a big investment and i want to be certain the next best thing since sliced bread is going to last before the mould appears and newer improved systems appear
OLDYELLOW Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 bring back runing to the pole at the end of your road with the pigeon in your hand lol Would that be an electronic pole? nar it be a mobile mast
Guest Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 nar it be a mobile mast Very corny but I'm not going to Nokia you might turn orange and if there's three of you you might need some H2o. I've heard about your mate the minstrel Samsung too, was a mate of Ericson but don't want to go down the footy route cause it don't give me that Ulrika moment
