Guest numpty01 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 fred jameson good flyer with good birds but he can put out thousand free and not one could score as we all know thats true but if birds go out to good flyers they will get the goods out of them if they have it ???take someone i know flys natural has won god knows what includeing nat.s yet only few won with his birds me being one cos he told me how to handle his birds
thunderboult Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 i agree with you chris, a good fancier will do well with anyones birds. and a bad fancier won't win no mater what birds he got.
blaz Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 with the season he has had with birds he bred himself .i will say (stevie) girwood . who has also bred winners for other people . i am sure he is 4th 5th and6th in the pentland fed this week.plus rab hally in my club who has won5 of the 9 races also toped midlothian fed last week and wont be far away this week
Guest numpty01 Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 honeysuckell lofts for me going back to 80.s early90.s with there jansons yes i would agree
Smithy Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 honeysuckell lofts for me Yea, Honeysuckle lofts are very good breeders.I bought a kit of 6 Jannsens and they were brilliant at races up to 300 miles.I tried pushing them further but Im afraid they werent up to it.Ponderosa is the stud for distance birds.
PATTY BHOY Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 i know j mcneiill is a good flyer but does any one else score with his birds.
Roland Posted June 14, 2009 Report Posted June 14, 2009 i agree with you chris, a good fancier will do well with anyones birds. and a bad fancier won't win no mater what birds he got. Tis 100% true that. Frank Bristow has a friend - Like I've oft posted- (just one eh lol before any other puns it lol ;D). Has Franks Best, Frank in touch whenever and however, only lives a hop step and short jump away.... Never won a raffle let alone a pigeon race. Frank gets very fruastated of course, nothing would please him more, and nothing he wouldn't / doesn't do to help.

If you haven't got the right tools to play with in the first place it doesn't matter how good a fancier you are your up against it from the start and even the best can't create miracles, a bit like a racehorse owner expecting a donkey to win the national, it just doesn't happen. ;D

We usually agree on everything Roland so here's a teaser for you, maybe not this one though. If i sent Frank a bird that came from the weakes bloodlines possbile, their parents nor grandparents and beyond ever achieved a single thing even though they were with a good fancier are you saying that just because Frank is Frank he could work some sort of miracle? Surely its down to the tools your provided with and not just the craftsman?
thunderboult Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 If you haven't got the right tools to play with in the first place it doesn't matter how good a fancier you are your up against it from the start and even the best can't create miracles, a bit like a racehorse owner expecting a donkey to win the national, it just doesn't happen. ;D that's right what your saying but when was the last time you saw donkey's racing against race horses? it same in people lofts, i don't think anyone races woody's or doves. i think everyloft in the country has birds in them capable of winning or breeding winner's but there's so many other things to take into consideration, capabilities of the fancier, wind, pull of the birds, etc. it all comes down to the fancier.
REDROCKET Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 That`s like saying" who cooks the best Sunday dinner"and does it taste better when he or she (non sexist comment)is wearing french maids uniform. you've just given me an idea for sunday wonder if it still fits her lol
just ask me Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 that's right what your saying but when was the last time you saw donkey's racing against race horses? it same in people lofts, i don't think anyone races woody's or doves. i think everyloft in the country has birds in them capable of winning or breeding winner's but there's so many other things to take into consideration, capabilities of the fancier, wind, pull of the birds, etc. it all comes down to the fancier. would agree with most of your post but good pigeons are good pigeons and are hard to come by the fancier no doubt has a major part to play but at the end of the day good pigeons real good ones are not easy to get your hands on wouldn't agree that most pll have them yes there a fanicers that have good ones that cant get the most out of them that is true pigeons are no different to any other other animal dogs why or horses why is it that the same bloodlines come though with winners in most cases
Guest redwhiteblue Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Geordie McIloney of Coatbridge must be 1 of the best in britain, he has won the national and also bred pigeons to win nationals for other people
