got a hen home today from lanarkshire y/b wetherby 2009,rubber perished but still there,a bit skinny,feathers bleached,but very pleased to see her sire is our no1 jock allan stock cock, the dam scored 4 times snfc, a good one to get home and she is a wee cracker. ;):) :) :) :) :)

Bet it's learned an awful lot in it's time away..

 

strange thing jonesybhoy we usually get a bird home feb/march and usually a hen,possibly the want of a partner or maybe hunger,i will say we have had these same birds score at the national races in future years. ;) ;) ;) ;)

yes sometime they learn too much when the going gets tuff they know how to survive so no rush to come home but most of my good doo,s done something like that

One of my dad's best ever doos was lost for 7 months as a young bird.. dark/pied cock.. went on to score 3 times across the water..

have had a good few cracking birds thats done that john  ;)same as your self ,  out ofr a year come home to pair and end up brilliant birds :) :) :)

top bird jb,know a lot of fanciers who would not put up with this,personally i love getting them home like this,will be trained and lightly raced. ;) ;) :)if the feathers hold up. :-/
