Is there any difference to the flying round the loft for 40 mins or an hour to flying home from a 20 or 30 mile toss?

knock them back early can ruin the birds for rest of season patience is needed we all want to race , but you can burn them up now and have a crap season or you can wait till weather breaks and have a great season  ;)

you are spot on here Mark, a little care early on will go a long way later on in the season.

in my opinion a big difference ally,, birds exercising around the loft will do it at their leisure,,in fact enjoy it,,,  and take nothing out themselves, :)

but a 30 mile toss in this weather [in scotland anyway ;D] they change gear, in flying home, it is easy to see what it takes out the birds,, then more easily noticed in results  later in the season :)

you are right Jimmy making them enjoy it is one of the main parts of racing, letting them enjoy it while we still have them in the loft.
