Guest TAMMY_1 Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 Does any body use it and where can I get it please both Chrissy and myself have used it at different lofts with great success ,readily available at most pigeon suppliers, but you have already been given a link
pjc Posted July 14, 2009 Report Posted July 14, 2009 excellent stuff, best put on the perches at dusk so the fumes will clear any lice on the birds while roosting over night rather than flying around during the day. Also good to put a few drops in the bottom of your basket.

Also good to put a few drops in the bottom of your basket. I've used Ivermectin for some time. I've also used Duramitex. I kind of feel you have to change your treatments occasionaly, so I've been using other wormers. Trouble is I've got moths and lice now. I know Ivermectin will get rid but !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the help. I've been Rugby Leicester and Coventry without finding the stuff.

Pigeons must not come into contact with the product for at least 3 hours after application. could someone explain the 3 hour thing do u take the birds out of loft for 3 hours , I have been using it for years, and have never removed the birds. I put the drops on the perches with the birds sat there at dusk as its the fumes that kill the mite etc. Also have put it in the bottom of the baskets and have never had a problem if it has come into contact.

Shortcut Lofts Posted July 16, 2009 Report Posted July 16, 2009 If the birds have a serious lice or mite problem, splash a drop on them, it does absoloutley no harm and clears infestation in a couple of hours. I have been doing this now for 3 years and no side effects at all.
peterpau Posted July 16, 2009 Author Report Posted July 16, 2009 Put it on the perches this morning, yes it works. Spot in the corner of each box perch, next to wall on saddle perches, and a spot under each nest bowl. Job done.
