Guest Denny Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 Do garden fantails have the same homing instinct as racers? As if they manage to get someone to take them will they end up flying back?

pjc Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 tell them to routinely collect eggs to prevent them multiplying.
T_T Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 Hi Denny, The homing instinct of a fantail, is not as complete as that of a true racing pigeon and I would say if your friend manages to catch them and take them for a ride, the chances of them returning are very, very, minimal, especially if it was a distance say of about 20mls.
satinwings Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 hi they ll breed nearly all year round , they do make nice birds to start off with for the kids , jon See mum (Denny) I can keep them, I am techincally a kid...kinda
harky Posted October 11, 2009 Report Posted October 11, 2009 dont want to sound cruel but the best way to get rid of them and to make sure they will not come back is to catch and eat them
