Guest Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Why do fanciers send there young birds racing when just getting over this virus, and this is many so called pigeon men top flyers ? :-/.
Novice Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I am afraid it's the same old story--they really don't care. Some actually send old birds racing when youngsters are ill. These birds then pass on whatever is effecting the remainder of the loft. All contributes to the poor state the sport is in.
nogin Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Why do fanciers send there young birds racing when just getting over this virus, and this is many so called pigeon men top flyers ? :-/. ONE WORD........... DESPERADO'S :-/

Guest puresoontjen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 IF THEY DO SEND SICK BIRDS THEY SHOULD BE BAND FOR 1 MONTH, IT ISNT THAT ITS THE GOOD BIRDS AND FLYERS THAT SUFFER IN THE LONG RUN. HAVEING TO CLEAR ALL THERE MESS UP PUTS US IN THE SH*T FOR THE FOLLOWING RACES TO COME.................................... ??)
Guest rodders Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 ONE WORD........... DESPERADO'S :-/ in one word averages peeps do silly things and lose good birds chasing them
Guest puresoontjen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 in one word averages peeps do silly things and lose good birds chasing them i think the healthy will be in the crates as well mate but they will be in front of the bad ONES :-/
Tony C Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 I don't think some race programs help, miss two consecutive races and you could find you've got the choice of jumping them 100+ miles or leaving them at home again.
Guest Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 DO THEY,Have you any proof. PROOF OF WHAT :-/them sending birds that are ill.ive seen the birds ill in there lofts following week back in the basket, one flyer that sent them lost 17 birds that week
Guest strapper Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 well i took it that birds that dont get treatment with anti biotics and have natural imunity wont get ill?...seems to me that some are worried for nothing if this is the case? i wonder how many have had sickness this year and dont use medication?..i think there be a few!

Guest strapper Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 There are no medication for YBS. there is no medication for adeno virus(ybs)in one way correct...but ybs doesnt always kill your birds.....its the secondary infection that comes in after the adeno virus has taken hold of the bird. more than not its usually e coli. belgamco is a good product to use for ybs..advertised in the bhw and not at a rip off price..also treats others like salmonela too.
Tony C Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Tony ive always jumped my breeder/buyer birds 118 miles there first race :-/ My thinking is that YBS normaly kicks in after a race or two, you may find yourself having to put them into 170-200mile their first race back after the sickness which is far from ideal. Some people will take the chance of bringing them back a week earlier than they should to avoid this. Just to make it clear I'm not one of them.
aye ready Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 mine are going in this week at 82mls after missing the first 2 races with ybsick will post tommorrow how i get on had 2 - 35ml training tosses this week came good, droppings A1
Guest puresoontjen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 PROOF OF WHAT :-/them sending birds that are ill.ive seen the birds ill in there lofts following week back in the basket, one flyer that sent them lost 17 birds that week you should sand up mate and tell him/her... tell them all in the club NOT sit back an seeing it going on.its your birds as well as other going down hill. obviously you dont care if it gos on STAND UP FOR YOUR BIRD AND OTHERS.

An outbreak of e coli as a secondary infection mainly occurs in lofts that hold y/birds of various ages, it normally attacks the younger ones who's immune system isn't that of the older youngsters.
aye ready Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 it always amazes me the amount of fanciers that tell me they've never ever had it but follow the claim up by asking what i treat them with (smarty2)(smarty2)
adam owen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 there are many products to use for yb sickness, but never use the same one twice if it reapeares.personally ive alwaysed bred early as possible with ybs and have never had the sickness.this year tho due to moving my ybs were later bred, being parted in may, and have had the sickness 3 times .so back to early breeding next year.
Tony C Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 Its an accepted part of racing down here now, if you don't cop it you can consider yourself ar$ehole lucky.
Guest puresoontjen Posted August 7, 2009 Report Posted August 7, 2009 it always amazes me the amount of fanciers that tell me they've never ever had it but follow the claim up by asking what i treat them with (smarty2)(smarty2) THATS TRUE MATE. ive had it ive dealt with it. some dont give a expletive removed* as they want to race that week. i dont think there a pigeon flyer that hasnt had it if the truth was known.
