Avisal never used it

red cell - very good, multivi and iron, meant for race horses but good for pigeon, need to be careful not to give to much due to the high iroon content

Ronidazol - one of the best treatments for canker, can be used in the racing season with no effects on form

gemthepax - one of my favours, i use it all year round

orego stim - never used it but a popular product

doxycycline - best treatment for respitory disease.

sedochol - fantastic in promoting a good moult, very popular product

tkk - ?

Parastop - have used it, dont rate it, over use will cause issues.

never used it don't  trust multi treat products bad enough they get what get never mind 3 at once :-/

comes in a 1 pill treatment aswell turns the dropping orangey the next day then back to normal use them loads of times,use the pill form for racers and the powder form for stock birds-tkk

we were dropping like flies in the fifties till science stepped in soapy get with the times, medication used correctly is another tool given to fanciers just like new systems, better corn and supplements

i never treat unless im advised to do so , however i test them regulary , all meds needed would cost over £100 test £30 its a  no brainer the more you pump into them the more you'l have to continue doing it loosing there natural immunity if they cant cope it show there weakness proping birds up with medication is a short term fix , but will end in nowt but heartache and birds that ail every time have an outing in a race basket  , certainly a slippery slope you wouldnt put a child through chemo therapy ' just incase '  :-/

Sedochol is the only product mentioned that i would not be without.

you may find that some diseases from then have mutated and if had been treated in the fiftys would not now be around...because they most probably would have been eradicated.

 

try reading the book by the birdman of alcatraz..you will see that some of these diseases were diagnosed then.

 

can you give me what you know about medications to state that they are rubbish?

bet you go to the doctors as do your family each time any of you are ill..if you believe they are rubbish then why bother having treatment from your docs..after all..they are only rubbish!

i say this time and time again...medications dont ruin birds.....fanciers ruin birds!!

gemthepax   - Keeps birds in good condition, but smell is horrendous!

orego stim  - Waste money, use oregano oil instead.

doxycycline  - Ok if needed, best used for resp combined with Tylan

sedochol  - Under trial this year

tkk  - Never used, but know a few that swear by it.

prastop  - Never used, never will.
