Well done John, you have done fantastically well to get the grant for the club. If you need any assistance with its use don't hestate to ask, you know where i am. All thats left is to enjoy using it, and i've no doubt you will, atb DAZ.
  2. I think we would all like things to be cheaper, but if you can afford to rear and race 100+ young uns per season then the cost of an ets ring is not out of the way surely :-/, you make the sport as cheap or expensive as you yourself wish, no one forces anything on anyone!!!
  3. The mind boggles, why would you knowingly keep crap, we have 15 cocks to race now 3 x 4 yo 1 has 4x1st plus many other prizes, 1 has 1st fed plus many other good prizes the other has won every year racing and also has 29th open NMCC messac, 23rd and 33rd section K 418th and 514th open NFC from Fougeres and Messac. we have 1 x3yo he has 4x1st plus a stack of other good prizes(i consider him to be our best) we have 3 x2yo 1 with 2x1st, 2x4th last year as a yearling he won the 5 bird club(20 members) from Portland 200 miles by 4 mins the other 2 are nestmates both multi prizewinners last year 1 being only beat by loftmates for 1st. the other 8 are yearlings that were unraced as babies, if they don't perform they don't stay simple as that, our hens are unraced but most have bred winners or prizewinners, why anyone would keep a pigeon they consider crap is beyond me, give them the chance to prove themselves and if they don't they don'y stay!!
  4. Dave Hawkins is the uk agent, not got a number to hand but sure someone on here can help, its not cheap but a tub will last a long long time, me and a mate tend to go halves on a tub still lasts more than a full season
  5. Primalac p.s probiotics are one of the few products to have any scientific studies prove their usefullness shall we say, unlike a lot of the products advertised for pigeons :-/
  6. Some of his products are good some not so good, there are other alternatives out there some of which are IMO better.
  7. Sorry mate but i think you've got it the wrong way round, family 1st mate always JMO all the best DAZ
  8. We did have 18 cocks to race 11 yearlings, 3 x 2 y/o, 1 x 3 y/o, 3 x 4 y/o. Down to 16 now, 2 yearlings out of the team 1 has been moved on and the other had a bad bump and can,t even fly to his box. All the best for 2010, DAZ.
  9. Try this link for some very useful articles, all the best DAZ http://www.auspigeonco.com.au/Articles/Articles.html
  10. Cheers Oldyellow, what would you class as serious, i was told just 1 is 1 too many, DAZ
  11. In your opinion, is it possible for pigeons to have worms (of any type) without showing any signs/symptoms? Thanks in advance, DAZ
  12. Sedochol is the only product mentioned that i would not be without.
  13. I am a big beleiver in probiotics, tried most always used to swear by entrodex but now use and would reccomend primalac, flightpath is also very good. however back on topic tried magic and i personally didn't notice any difference with my birds.
  14. Some real bargains to be had here lads, Simeon & John are genuine through and through you are sure of a square deal, all the best with the sale mate and best wishes for your future racing in Chesterfield, you will be missed at Woodthorpe thats for sure!!
  15. 10ml per litre of water, or 10ml per kilo of corn IMO better on corn
  16. In my opinion and having proven it in practice, your young birds only require education and that racing them is not essential and my yearlings do win in april on widowhood, although admittedly most take 2 or 3 races to get fully in to the swing of things, there are no hard and fast rules in this game

Well done Brian, these pigeons don't grow on tree's how many do you reckon have done that distance round these parts UNIQUE!!!!!!!
  18. For want of a better phrase "effing useless"
  19. A hearty congratulations to Simeon & John Turner for topping the Stocksbridge Fed yesterday from Falaise a super performance well done matey :)
  20. Out of 100 young birds bred how many turn out winners or breeders of winners? The reason i ask is i think some claims are inaccurate, say there are 50 x 1st out of those 100 is it 50 individuals or 10 that have bred 50 x 1st? to me the latter is 10% which in truth is a good percentage.
  21. Yes good for the liver and moult, very similar to Biochol only i think its best on the corn rather than in the water.
  22. Ken Brown was the man, was he not Bri, he had the garden next to Garth on Derby st, if my memory is correct he used to feed a lot of wheat? Spent many happy hours on them gardens, this game is not the same as it was then
  23. I'm no expert but sounds to me like early signs of YBS/virus, definately not the probiotic although i would recommend the entrodex above entrobiotic best wishes.
  24. Congratulations to Simeon & John, 2 on the day bagging 1st and 2nd in the club well done mate!
  25. Well done very good performance, and whoever told you pigeons with frills are no good does'nt know his a**e from his elbow ;D
